  1. WHERE DO YOU LIVE TIM...??? Newcastle? Sheffield? Manchester? Batley West Yorkshire? OR somewhere down south quite close to London...?? Its somewhere down south, quite close to London and its a prosperous area with half decent facilities and job opportunities isnt it Tim? I strongly suspect you would have a very different view of HS2 if you lived in a terrace house in Batley West Yorkshire. ASLO NOT investing in infrastructure is the primary reason the UK has a collapsing economy.

  2. I live in Bulgaria - our first high speed rail line from my city on the coast to the rest of Europe opens next year - I cant wait Ive used the Paris - South coast of France line and that was just astonishing. I love rail and I detest flying - its so boring and uncomfortable.

  4. Thats not the whole story though. It would - but 1 high speed train displaces 10 slow trains of the track. The capacity of normal rail lines crashes if you increase the speed of the fastest trains.
