@nickbarton3191 FUNNILY ENOUGH I just finished it about 3 weeks ago - Im now onto hiw 6 volumes about the 1st world war. What I like about Churchill is he totally admits to being an academic dummy. He also hated the Oxford Univerisity debating society crown in parliament - he would come in with all the facts and lose the vote cos some person educated n winning arguments would win the day - against all available evidence...

@nickbarton3191 - OH his account of WW1 is very much "why I was right and everyone else was wrong" LOL But it is informative and entertaining. Im not actually a big fan of his - I think he was pretty terrible at most things he did with the singular exception of being PM in WW2, at which he was astonishingly brilliant at.

@nickbarton3191 - Well im not sure he is a narcissist but we will leave that for another day. I live in Bulgaria now and have many friends over the border in Romania - they had it really bad under Nicolae Ceaușescu, one of my friends is a cooking presenter / author - her interest in food comes from almost starving to death as a kid. At Christmas, they used to get a pigs ear as a treat to chew on... Here in Bulgaria, but in contrast, most people have very positive memories of communism and many many want to return to a socialist economic model.

@nickbarton3191 - This friend lived in the city, they had a pig each year at a friend's house in the villages. Do you live in Romania?

@nickbarton3191 - COOL - I hope you are enjoying it. Ive lived in Bulgaria for 14 years. My friend lives in a village near Cluj Naposa.

@nickbarton3191 - I live in Burgas - In a "commi block" on the beachfront overlooking the sea and the rising sun. Its the same for me - I have had an amazing time very busy with both good and bad. Im now trying to live a quieter more minimalistic life - it all got a bit out of hand at one point so Im living more of a Tai Chi on the balcony at sunrise life now... EDIT - yes we both dodged a bullet with the state of the UK right now...!!!
