Who are we to lecture them? Look how we treated women and gay people 50 or 100 years ago. Look how we treat Trans people now. We decided to be nice to a couple of minorities very very recently and now we are moralising to the world about it...??? As a Tory I hate the guy. But this is why BRICS+ now covers 50% of global oil production and 40% of the global population AND 40% OF GLOBAL GDP. Cos the world is sick of this G7 NATO propaganda and moralising whilst our OWN countries collapse...!!!!

  2.  @neorich59  Again I 100% agree. I think we should have a CONSISTENT approach to morality, yes women should be treated equally. But I dont think we should adopt this holier than thou attitude, especially if we are going to apply it very selectively. Trade with us and Aid with us should be conditional upon basic values that we believe in. Let the country choose - you want us to buy your oil, you have to meet our basic moral code for doing business.

  4. OPIUM PRODUCTION lets have some reality - opium production in Afghanistan has collapsed due to the prevalence offentanyl as a much stronger cheaper and more deadly alternative...!!! The best thing we could do for Afghanistan is license the production of Opium for the Western pharmaceutical industry OR legalise heroin in order to combat the horrific fentanyl epidemic. Drug supply chains are NEVER simple black and white issues. You crack down on heroin, you kill more people and you make farmers in Afghanistan starve...!!!
