  1. THE PRE 1985 RAAC is not a big issue - the panel size was 750 x 1200mm - Thatcher deregulated the building industry in 1985 which allowed for 1200 x 6000mm RAAC slabs to be used. This was to allow the cheap and profitable building of public buildings by private contractors. Prior to this RAAC manufacture had actually been stopped in the UK in 1982. I spent the morning reading about it - I strongly suggest people do. This was known to be sh!t at the time.
