I THINK THE SCALE OF THE ABUSE is what is causing the mass panic - everyone I talk to in the TV / comedy industry has heard about tales of abuses on a VAST scale I think the victim count at the end of this will be in the hundreds. I think the big issue is these companies one again KNEW about this and did nothing. More importantly, their actions now indicate they know about the SCALE of it - IMO

@carlwilson3482 - I know 3 minor comedians and 1 minor actress - no disrespect to them - THEY ALL KNEW. It seems like everyone knew. The actress is 27 and she was warned NEVER work with Russell Brand he is a XXXX. Its like no one in the industry was unaware of this, there seems to have been a industry-wide effort to keep girls safe from him - which was alluded to in an interview they they didnt have women work with him

@boota1979 Well what do you do when you are a struggling comedian or actor trying to make rent and you have no direct evidence yourself, just hearsay...??? Its really easy for us to sit here and judge, would YOU throw your career away to out a person who you know did something - but no one will take you seriously and all that wil happen is your career is over and the guy in question sues you and takes your house off you...???

@boota1979 - Im sorry I flat out DO NOT believe YOU that you would sacrifice your career and your house to blow the whistle on Russell Brand if you were say a lighting technision and you knew the roomers. You would become homeless and unemployed to call him out?

@boota1979 I'm sorry, I do not believe for one second, that you would give up your job, your house, your career be homeless and do a menial job in order to out Russell Brand on the basis of a rumour that you'd heard in the industry.

@boota1979 - Well, lets be real, we ARE talking about people in the comedy and entertainment industry. Not a field renowned for its high moral fibre is it...? The actress I know is studying hairdressing at 28 to try and get out of the industry, even though she is reasonably successful, she just doesn't want to be in that industry any longer. The people I know are only periphery figures, I thnk people like this can be excused. But the more famous and the higher up, I think they have questions to answer.
