I'M READING CHURCHILLS MEMOURS the biggest takeaway for me is how much SERVICE mattered to him and to his generation of politicians. Whatever you think of Churchill, his life was dedicated to the SERVICE of the country and what he admired most in others was their dedication to SERVICE, be that his nanny who provided 40 years of service to families or Jellico who served the navy. The difference between these people and today's politicians could NOT be sharper. Its a sad time in the UK.
