MY SISTER USED THE TRAIN last Monday for the first time in 20 years - it was a nightmare - 2 people were fined £120 each on the train AND MUCH MORE... One old man who's daughter had bought the ticket online for him, he had forgotten to pick up his OAP pass she needed to buy the ticket. The other a woman with poor eyesight had bought it on her phone and could not read the light grey text that told her it was not valid for another 2 hours. Sister was stuck outside Hull station as her phone battery had died and you cant get in without a phone ticket. I believe she had to go to a pub and ask if anyone had a charger and could she use a socket to charge the phone to get INTO the station. The next day her 15 year old son had to stop a drunk guy sexually assaulting some young women - this was his FIRST time using the train in his life. He asked the ticket inspector to help, he did not. The kid had to restrain the guy [he is a 2nd DAN MMA]. Then the ticket inspector threatened to call the police on HIM cos he was restraining the guy. The transport police met them off the train and thankfully all the passengers stood up for the kid and said he was a hero. ALL this on 2 train trips Beverly to Hull

@biscuitheque79 This was Tuesday at about 1pm. The kid started college in Hull that day [orientation]. My sister thought it would be a good idea to get the train and write down the stations for him on the Monday cos he has AHDD and is likely to end up at Spurn Point or something. "nor should intoxicated passengers be allowed to travel." how do you stop them if the stations are unmanned...??? As they are wanting them to be...???
