I MARCHED IN THE STREETS of Leeds and London against this war - it was such an unpopular thing to do at the time I almost got sacked for "causing trouble". I know it was not much, but at least I tried, I made my opposition known when it was unpopular to do so. EDIT - oddly enough, now everyone was against it from the start. Wonder why so many people were spitting on us for protesting if so may agreed with us..???

I MARCHED IN LEEDS AND LONDON to protest the war - it was SUCH an unpopular thing to do I was nearly sacked for being a "trouble maker" Odly, now, everyone you talk to was against the war - which is really odd, cos there were a lot of people spitting on us as we protested... I know it achieved nothing protesting. But I am very pleased I did it. I made my voice heard "NOT IN MY NAME" was the slogan, and it was NEVER in my name!

I HAVE A LOT OF CONTACTS IN CHINA I used to own a large cosmetics business. I was contacted by some companies I have known and worked with, they said "WE MAKE PPE" I never even THOUGHT about trying a make a single £1. I forwarded all their contact details onto the NHS and my local hospital with a covering letter saying these guys were trustworthy. THATS WHY IM NOT A POLITICIAN I never for one-second thought of benefiting myself.

Wide sperad unrest -cos the UK has hit a point called "interconnected cascading systems failure" or - everything is broken and everything you need to fix it is also broken. Im an author on the collapse of civilisations and this is what brings every civilisation down. They all get there in different ways, but the inability to fix anything cos everything is broken is what causes the collapse - its ireversable. There will be change - either the har way with cities burning. Or the easy way with radical reforms...

IM 51 YEARS OLD and the Labour party today is the most pathetic weak useless thing I have ever seen in my LIFE...!!! And I currently live in a country that has not been able to form a government for 9 months!

I NOW LIVE IN BULGARIA officially the most corrupt country in the EU - Its nowhere near as corrupt as the UK The £2 billion T&T fiasco is the entire corruption budget for Bulgaria for the last decade and then some...

BRILLIANT - thank you...!

IM AN AUTHOR ON HUMAN BEHAVIOUR and I am now fully 100% convinced that the UK government do NOT want the pandemic to end, they are deliberately extending it. Why? My theory, they [Boris especially] would rather take the criticism of the pandemic than let people see the utter f-kup that is Brexit and take the criticism for that. They DIDNT create the pandemic, they 100% created Brexit - especially Bojo. They can possibly weather the storm of a screwed up pandemic, Brexit would end the party.

@stephendavis5530 - Yeah the "Against the war from the beginning club" is a very big club, they were just very shy back then, but defiantly against the war 100%...

@vinlondon8904 - Absolutely - a rich local politician here applied for permission to build a sea wall to stop erosion, he was granted the permission. He built a huge hotel. totally illegal and they are making him pull it down, he must not have paid enough bribes. But everyone sees it and it is obviously illegal. What he should have done is donated to a politician who would lobby to get the law changed for "special circumstances" and THEN applied for permission to build the hotel. Like they would have done in the UK. In fact, in the UK he would probably have got a GRANT to build the hotel... We had riots over the corruption last year - why? Cos we could SEE the obvious corruption. Not in the UK, too sophisticated at doing it...

HOW ABOUT WE GIVE THEM TIME and we evaluate the performance...???

The dilemma the Labour party face is - pointing out the disaster that Brexit is and how Boris lied ALSO points out that a lot of the voters they NEED fell for those lies and that makes them feel thick. People don't then vote for the people who made them feel thick.
7
ARE YOU TELLING ME that the UK government is not kept awake at night worrying about the freedoms of women in Afghanistan...??? I find that very hard to believe, I'm sure they are just beside themselves with worry about Fatima and her university attendance.

As a very clever YouTuber keeps saying "international relations is a game of poker - and every one is cheating"
6
THANKS MY MAN you made me laugh...

wow you are clever.

I NOW LIVE IN BULGARIA officially the most corrupt country in the EU - Its nowhere near as corrupt as the UK The corruption here is incredibly amateur, in your face illegal stuff that gets noticed. They have NOT learned that what you do is you FIRST CHANGE THE LAW to make the corruption legal and THEN you do the corruption. They will learn, just pay Cameron to consult on how to do it properly.

I think there will be food riots this winter

EXACTLY...

I DONT KNOW WHAT THE WORLD WILL DO when we lose Noam Chomsky... I know I will cry.

@shtarpark7938 - That was my assumption when I read it for like the 5th time and it still didn't make sense

@MrMcCawber - YES my mother was a climate change / environmental protestor on the 1970's and 80's. The worlds largest Paraquat spill ran through the housing estate at the back of us and my mother fought for compensation for everyone. She got hate mail for lowering peoples property prices by drawing attention to it. Paraquat is not known as one of the worlds most dangerous neurotoxins and the "Woodkirk Spill" is a literal case study on how NOT to store chemicals, taught in universities and seminars.

HOW DOES HE SLEEP...??? its easy when your brain is such mush you have no memory of the days events...

@ArtByEmilyHare - I dont see it that way at all. I see TODAY as depressing. 12 or more pathetic excuses lined up to be the next person to make the lives of ordinary people in the UK worse, division in the country, people who will die this year of hypothermia cos they cant afford heating - THAT IS WHAT DEPRESSES ME. The burning of the cities, the destruction of the system, the tearing down of the corrupt institutions - sure it will lead to a lot of hardship - but people will pull together to get through it, and in 20 years the UK will be being rebuilt by Gen Z. When the tree of state is so rotten and corrupt its just a natural event that it should fall spectacularly, but out of its collapse the new saplings of a better world emerge. Its what happens, its what has always happened, just get the tree torn down. It has been propped up and kept going for too long. I see its collapse as the beginning of better things.
2
@ArtByEmilyHare - they will allow reforms inorder to be allowed to keep most of it if losing all of it is the alternative - thats what history tells us... " I don't have the strength/energy to protest and get out there and get angry." your job is to look after your neighbours, make sure they get through the coming winter and the rest. The time for division is over
2
@edwardbernthal160 Yeah I was experimenting with sarcasm
2
And what are you doing to change that system...?
2
@hazelhatswell4268 - It took me a long long time to admit it to myself. I'm a specialist on narcissism [Johnson is a narcissist BTW] and I would have jumped to that conclusion long ago, but for the fact it will literally mean the deaths of thousands and give hundreds of thousands of young people long covid. I thought there MUST be people in the government that would stop this, but eventually, I was forced to admit, NO - this is the only explanation.
2
@Hide_and_silk it's not like every technological advance, because this technological advance can work for it own ends, not just the ends humans put it to.

THERE IS NO COST OF LIVING CRISIS there is a WAGE crisis...!!! In 1988 I started my first job at 18 - my starting salary was £8,250 + Bonus taking it to just over £10k - according to the Bank Of England inflation calculator that is £29,935 today!!! My starting salary as an 18 y/o telesales person for a regional newspaper was £30K - higher than the average wage for most of the UK...!!! >>> More When I left the UK in 2002 my salary was £65k - that's the equivalent of £119,000 today - I lived in a terrace house in Goole...

BRILLIANT ANALASYS

@DistrictWitch - The world has never moved on from Kings and Princes. Only we now call them "Billionaires". The kings disliked having their heads chopped off every couple of hundred years so they dropped the title and let the serfs play a game they called "democracy". The serfs get to choose between 2 essentially identical "parties" who both do the bidding of the kings and the good part is the "politicians" get all the blame whilst the kings have a nice quiet life. I live in Bulgaria now, an ex-communist country. Its really interesting to see the structure of a society that was [however imperfectly] designed and build for the benefit of the people who live in it. Its too long a discussion to have here - but my city is filled with thousands of fruit trees that provide [I worked it out cos I am sad] about £15,000,000 of FREE FRUIT every year for the people of this city. You don't do that in a western city cos that's £15 mill NOT going into the hands of shop keepers and the economy. Its hundreds of things like this that you simply never consider that you are getting screwed for. Schools - there are 8 schools within walking distance [15 minutes] of my apartment. Who benefits from gigantic centralised schools with 3,000 kids? The kids? NO. The parents NO. But its cheaper so you can give lower taxes to the rich... Where I live - a house / apartment listing gives you the minutes walk to schools, doctors, council office, hospital, playground, etc cos THAT is a factor here. It not in the UK cos its 30 minute DRIVE. Inevitably the green spaces will get built on. The fruit trees will get cut down. The schools will be merged - cos the country is "modernising" which is a euphemism for "getting screwed over by rich capitalists" A recent survey here 45% of people wanted to go back to communism. Another very long debate - but communism was nothing like we were told in the west. Both way better and way worse. But mostly very different to how we imagine it.

Reform is fascist and so are you. Stop being ashamed of who you are.

* I MARCHED IN LEEDS AND LONDON* against this war - at the time I was mocked by my work mates - at least I was vindicated... Pitty the million + dead civilians - I wish I could have done more.

@nbandpinportugal - well it will come from the top down. When the billionaires wake up to the fact all the cities will be on fire and their mansions in ashes and the police won't do a thing about it cos they AGREE... [yeah dumb mistake by the tories to cut the police - thatcher was not that stupid] The billionaires who run the show will introduce reforms and throw some beans out to stop it - if they have any sense. Macron in France has just nationalised the energy companies to ensure affordable energy this winter to stop the riots BUT - I dont think that will happen. Revolutions happen when three things come together 1) the ruling class get so hideously out of touch their every action is unwittingly cruel and self-serving, meaning the conditions of the working person are simply hideously deprived with NO HOPE of ever improving - Brexit, NI increase, Cost of living crisis 2) a new generation arrives that does not have the deference of the previous ones, has access to modern communication systems that the ruling class simply does not understand how to use - Gen Z 3) A massive - usually global event - a world war or a pandemic the elite in this country don't posses the neurological pathways necessary to UNDERSTAND how bad its getting for 10 million people. You can sit them down and TELL them in words of one syllable and they will think "it cant be that bad, he is exaggerating". In the same way a narcissist does not possess the neurological pathways to feel empathy, the British elites don't possess the neurological pathways to understand extreme widespread poverty, so they won't believe anything needs doing. So the cities will burn, and the police wont stop it. And when the police don't stop it - the elites utterly sh!t themselves cos THAT is a coup in the making, you have lost control.

YOU CANT HAVE IT BOTH WAYS ARON either Twitter is a private company and do what it wants then it wants to who it wants - OR its not and it should uphold freedom of speech you cant have it both ways within 3 sentences of each other.

@Adriano Bastardi - QUOTE "People like you are simply ignorant of geopolitics and the nature of human Kind with your anti-war nonsense" Im a published author on psychology and philosophy writing a book about the collapse of the American empire - could you POSSIBLY have got that any more WRONG?? I mean given 1000 goes at insulting me and screwing it up, I doubt you could be further from the mark than that...
