Wide sperad unrest -cos the UK has hit a point called "interconnected cascading systems failure" or - everything is broken and everything you need to fix it is also broken. Im an author on the collapse of civilisations and this is what brings every civilisation down. They all get there in different ways, but the inability to fix anything cos everything is broken is what causes the collapse - its ireversable. There will be change - either the har way with cities burning. Or the easy way with radical reforms...

@ArtByEmilyHare - I dont see it that way at all. I see TODAY as depressing. 12 or more pathetic excuses lined up to be the next person to make the lives of ordinary people in the UK worse, division in the country, people who will die this year of hypothermia cos they cant afford heating - THAT IS WHAT DEPRESSES ME. The burning of the cities, the destruction of the system, the tearing down of the corrupt institutions - sure it will lead to a lot of hardship - but people will pull together to get through it, and in 20 years the UK will be being rebuilt by Gen Z. When the tree of state is so rotten and corrupt its just a natural event that it should fall spectacularly, but out of its collapse the new saplings of a better world emerge. Its what happens, its what has always happened, just get the tree torn down. It has been propped up and kept going for too long. I see its collapse as the beginning of better things.

@ArtByEmilyHare - they will allow reforms inorder to be allowed to keep most of it if losing all of it is the alternative - thats what history tells us... " I don't have the strength/energy to protest and get out there and get angry." your job is to look after your neighbours, make sure they get through the coming winter and the rest. The time for division is over

@nbandpinportugal - well it will come from the top down. When the billionaires wake up to the fact all the cities will be on fire and their mansions in ashes and the police won't do a thing about it cos they AGREE... [yeah dumb mistake by the tories to cut the police - thatcher was not that stupid] The billionaires who run the show will introduce reforms and throw some beans out to stop it - if they have any sense. Macron in France has just nationalised the energy companies to ensure affordable energy this winter to stop the riots BUT - I dont think that will happen. Revolutions happen when three things come together 1) the ruling class get so hideously out of touch their every action is unwittingly cruel and self-serving, meaning the conditions of the working person are simply hideously deprived with NO HOPE of ever improving - Brexit, NI increase, Cost of living crisis 2) a new generation arrives that does not have the deference of the previous ones, has access to modern communication systems that the ruling class simply does not understand how to use - Gen Z 3) A massive - usually global event - a world war or a pandemic the elite in this country don't posses the neurological pathways necessary to UNDERSTAND how bad its getting for 10 million people. You can sit them down and TELL them in words of one syllable and they will think "it cant be that bad, he is exaggerating". In the same way a narcissist does not possess the neurological pathways to feel empathy, the British elites don't possess the neurological pathways to understand extreme widespread poverty, so they won't believe anything needs doing. So the cities will burn, and the police wont stop it. And when the police don't stop it - the elites utterly sh!t themselves cos THAT is a coup in the making, you have lost control.
