When you chose to let the first school shooting go by without a massive reform of gun laws - your country was LOST. When you accept the death of children as an acceptable price to pay, its over. The FIRST job of any civilisation is to protect children, you fail at that you fail at being a civilisation and there is NO way back from that. You crossed the Rubicon, there is no way back.
