THE EASIEST WAY TO STOP ASYLUM SEEKERS is to tell them the truth about what its like in the UK

@harryfaber - I drove across the Sahara in 2005. We saw migrants / asylum seekers WALKING to Europe across the desert. When you see that with your own eyes you really do think "if they have gone to THAT much effort to get there, they really should be let in" And these people who hate them in the UK, could not walk to the shop for a packet of crisps half of them, they get in the car for a 400 yard trip.

@benbenjan811 - its even worse in America. Which is a true nightmare sh!t hole. But they bang on endlessly about it being "the greatest country on earth" and their movies make out it is all super wonderful and idyllic, so people in central and south America naturally think that's what its like.

@harryfaber - Im not religious at all. But every day I say "grace" and thank the universe for the luck that I have to have good food and not be hungry. Cos the only difference between an asylum seeker and me is LUCK.

@benbenjan811 - I have friends in America. They are all relatively wealthy people, but they are all looking to leave. And actually, I have 3 friends who have already left, but I have lost touch as they are very busy with their new lives...

@Johnconno - the real one. The truth for the ordinary low income person.

@harryfaber Thank you. I have been way luckier than you could ever imagine. I now live on $600 a month in Bulgaria and I am the happiest I have ever been.

@Johnconno - That is because we have absolute poverty here not RELATIVE poverty. Absolute poverty is WAY easier to deal with psychologically especially if everyone is poor. Life here is geared up to service the needs of poor people. Example. I can buy 2 paracetamol tablets if I have a headache. I can buy 1 razorblade if I need a shave for a job interview. I can buy 1 stock cube to make a stew with. I can buy 1 "tide pod" to wash my clothes with The shop keeper will sell you 1 out of a large packet and only change the pro rate price, not the 12 X the price for a small packet you get in the UK. And everyone is poor so everyone is in the same boat and there is no shame in not being able to afford things, and people look after each other cos they are all in the same boat. In the UK the poor are EXCLUDED from society on every single level, and that is UTTERLY MISERABLE. If you are poor and you have a job interview but your clothes are dirty and you are unshaven - how do you go to the job interview...??? You might be the best qualified, but you won't get the job if you smell. Like everything, poverty is RELATIVE. Being poor in a rich country is indescribably miserable. Being poor in a poor country is just normal...
