"Medieval" style cloaks - AMAZING, quick, warm, waterproof. Plus fours - great for bike riding. Oversocks - stop your trousers getting wet. Tweed jackets, warm and comfortable. Pleated wool trousers - worm and comfortable. Hankerchief tied round your neck - surprisingly warm. Today we wear shapeless synthetic fibre crap that is neither comfortable nor warm...
