  4.  @peterebel7899  - a) Im really tired today - sorry I missed the irony. b) I know - I'm a full on communist but at this point id swap the Tory party in power for an absolute monarchy with king Charles c) OH really interesting question... I think its close. I was not a fan of tony Blair getting rid of the hereditary peer's cos I said the next Tory govt would just stack it full of cronies Im against hereditary privilege etc but the bit advantage of hereditary peers is they don't have to please anyone or suck up to voters and they have 11 generations of the family name to uphold so i think it gives a good balance to an elected house. Imagine if the Senate in the USA had George Washington the 7th and Lincoln the 5th - we both know that would be better then Ted Cruz and Joe Manchin.

  5.  @peterebel7899  - NOT AT ALL - but equally its not a nest of fascists trying to get re-elected. I hate the principle of the HoL - but throughout my life, it has been better at looking after the people fo the country then the government.
