@ikke12345 I mean general research and manufacturing - NOT military. I did not word it well. We need to partner with China on general manufacturing and research as we can no longer compete on our own [neither can the US] - China does 18 x the scientific research of the total in the West. Chins should be solving out housing crisis with prefabricated homes made to the highest standard for low cost and quick erection. We need to start having solution and getting stuff done not fantasising that WE can do anything, we cant. You want a railway - get china to build it. At least we GET a railway.

@arturobianco848 Becasue you cant do your own thing. You have 2 choices for payment in the world. 1) The SWIFT system entirely run by the US and using the $USD and to use that you have to agree with everything the US says and does or they will sanction you or 2) BRICS where you trade in your own currency or the RMB in a direct peer to peer with no internetidatry in between restricting any trade. YO UCAN NOT "DO YOUR OWN THING" - did you vote for Brexit by any chance? If you don't know this please refrain from making judgements about who is worse the US or China [incidentally is the US by several orders of magnitude]

@AaronOkeanos Its the principle that other countries funds are not safe - the US doing this is what gave a massive boost to BRICS.

@abbofun9022 Well its going to be drone and intelligence-based - everything is smaller, more disposable and faster. 50 small fast remotely piloted tanks not 1 X €5 million tank. 100,000 aerial drones not one F-35. Direct to satellite encrypted communication for coms. Carriers, tanks, aircraft are just way too expensive and way too easy to take out in 2025. That latest Russian hypersonic missile would take out a US carrier no problem - have you seen it, I'm not a fan of Russia at all - but its very good

@sporkafife The good news for me is 2 fold. 1) High turn out - mean people actively want to vote to make sure the fascists didn't win. 2) 19.5% is clearly the ceiling, they had EVERYONE pushing for them in the Naziverse - even if Elon put €300 million in its hard to see how they would win when 81% voted AGAINST them

@arturobianco848 CORRECT and ASML are lagging behind with R&D because the US has blocked their sale of machinery to China which is 54% of their business. Am3rci4 is NO ONES friend and finally people are waking up to this.

China has amassed $4 Trillion in excess $USD to act as a swap account and added just short of 3,000 tons of gold to its reserves to stabilise BRICS and the RMB. NO Europe can NOT do this - not even close. Its like you saying you are going to use your bank account as an alternative to the Bank Of England. AND its irrelevant cos why would anyone use it even if you could, cos BRICS already exists. If you want to pay for goods in the € - just use BRIC that's literally what its about - you pay for goods in your own currency. If you buy in € then the recipient country will just buy from BRICS countries in the € you gave them or China will hold the € and pay them out in their local currency if they need. We cant do it and even if we could n one would use it.

The time to set ourselves up as an independent power was the 1990's - instead we sucked up the US, we de industrialised to pander to US whims, we financialised to pander to US whims, we became service economies to pander to US whims - the only country that held out was Gemrnay and the US punished them by bl0w!ng up the Nord Stream pipeline. The Ukraine w4s was engineered by the US to stop the EU getting access to Rusisas unlimited energy and mineral reserves and not they have succeeded in hobbeling Europe they abandon us. The days of being an independent continent are over - we have 3 choices, Russia [the one we should have chosen in the 1990's] China or Am3ric4 - and trust me Am3ric4 is the biddest en3my on that list.
