@williamchamberlain2263 - They DONT NEED more than half the electorate to believe them. They need about 500,000 to 1 million disengaged morons in about 100 constituencies to believe them. They dont talk to me, or you, or the Tory base - they are talking to the election deciding idiots of the UK. And the election deciding idiots of the UK dictate the effective intelligence of the UK. which is tragic.

@darthwiizius - I wrote this a few weeks ago - its about the USA, it will ring very familiar to you: The GOP defunded education for 40 years for a reason. And it worked..! This is the story of why America is full of idiots. In the late 1970's and early 80's computers became a thing and you could process lots of statistical data for the first time. And the political parties did... The data showed the GOP they would be demographic-ed out of existence in a couple of decades. It also showed the GOP that stupid badly educated people - amazingly - voted for them. Voted AGAINST their own interests, as blue-collar workers and for the GOP. So the GOP started to breed their own supporters. They systematically defunded education - in 1976 education was 5.7% of GDP. In 1983 it was 3.4% Some of the specific changes they made were to STOP teaching critical thinking skills, skills that ALLOW people to spot a lie. And it was wildly successful. America now has an uneducated subclass of 35% idiots and it is enough to swing elections. ---§--- Same time, same neocon neoliberals, same philosophy, same use of the new computer data.

EDIT - THE DAILY MAIL EDITOR EARNS £2.5 MILLION 1) that's basically a living wage in London 2) Boris Johnson earned £250,000 for 1 article a WEEK - not 5 full days of hard work 3) Im sure the reporter and editor WRITING the sh!tty article are on more than £150k 3) The problem IS NOT civil servants on £150k, it ordinary people on £25k - Tube Drivers earn £85k cos they are fully unionised and paid a LIVING WAGE...!!!

If the poor and the rich are voting for the same party - one of them is getting conned, and its not the rich...
