There are a lot of farmers in my family and I know for a fact they will all have voted Tory in 2019. My sympathy is very limited for them.

@johnthorburn1913 - Very probably. I mean I love [most of] my family, they are good people. My uncle the main one of the farming side would drive 300 miles to tow you home if you broke down - no question about it. But farmers - all farmers - are such terrible snobs. If you don't have 400 acres and a huge house you are a pleb. The world is split into land owners and plebs as far as farmers are concerned. The Tories represent the land owners and all other parties are communists who want to take your farm off you - that is the opinion of EVERY farmer I have ever met - and I have met thousands. No matter what they say - that is the underlying philosophy. If the Tories do bad things they may dislike THAT Tory govt - but over all - Tories stop the communists taking the farms so the 50 year 100 year view is VOTE TORY. And in many ways that has served them well for 300 years - no one has nationalised the farms, they don't pay inheritance tax on the farms and that is the beginning middle and end of it... My cousin is a terrible human being - I hate the guy - he is about to inherit £15,000,000 of farm land and pay ZERO inheritance tax.

@operationgoldfish8331 - EXACTLY - and this tory govt are just doing the 2021 version of the highland clearances. The smaller farmers with 100 - 400 acres of land will go bust and the 2000 + acre farms will buy the land up at discounted rates cos so many are going bust due to the Australian beef and American grain and no subsidies... THEN in 10 year or 15 years, the tory govt of the time will declare that food can NOT be transported across the globe - cos environment. Put a massive carbon tax on it and the big landowning farmers and the tories Billionaire mates will make a KILLING. This is a 20 year plus plan to move land from the smaller farmers to the billionaires and the big land owners. The small farmers are finally copping for it cos there are NO PEASANTS to kick off the land, so the endless consolidation of wealth at the top has to move UP a level, and that is the smaller farm owners.

@nickymcauley3589 - the UK does not have a housing crisis it has a wage crisis. The wage crisis has been off set by cheap plastic crap from China and industrial food production shoving calories into workers for pence...!!! 25 years ago an average wage was 40% of an average house - not its 14%... Cheap things are NOT actually good for anyone - its a myth. In 1945 the best work boots in America were $8 - that would be $128 in today's money But actually an equal quality pair cost $620 cos NO ONE makes decent books its all worthless crap from China for $40 so 99% of workmen in America wear $40 or $60 sh!t from China and throw it away after 1 year whreas is cheep had not happened then they would be spending $128 on great boots and they would last the 5 resoles. CHEAP ultimately destroyed everyone.

AN AGRICULTURAL AGENCY last week said that "British people are too fat, too unfit and too [physically] inflexible to pick crops - even if they wanted to, which they don't" My sister is a 50 year old MMA instructor, a 12 year old asked her "Miss - how do you have so much energy all the time" All other issues aside, I think we should address that as a nation. This is not normal.

@Peter-ud9bx - sorry - im really good at depressing sh!t LOL

@Peter-ud9bx - Actually, the very best thing that could happen in the UK now, is an utterly catastrophic crash this winter. An actual collapse of the systems of civilisation. A winter so unbelievably horrific that the Tories are out of power for 20 years, there is a progressive alliance which results in proportional representations. Massive reform of the electoral system, public financing of elections. Legal investigation of the Tories for their corruption. An immediate return to the single market and customs union. Nationalisation of the energy and public transport. And end to any fantasy about "Great Britain" and the empire once and for all, every Brexiteer proved infatically wrong in a way so indisputable they don't leave their houses for a decade... And actually - I think there is a 50/50 chance that is what will happen. This government do NOT have the capability to mane anything, not a single thing - their answer to everything is distraction. They could not identify the root cause of a problem if their life depended on it, they don't even understand the concept - so this will either sort themselves out - of the country sill utterly collapse.

@ab-ym3bf - I literally only found out lat week - no kidding, maybe Im dumb... That the reason the communists in China etc wore identical clothing was NOT mind control - but because the fashion industry is so incredibly wasteful to national resources... Maybe that is widely known - I had no clue. And I make historical clothing for a hobby - so I'm quite aware of the danger that fast fashion does. But it was known 150 years ago that fashion is a hideous waste of natural resources and one of the worst forms of capitalism -good things getting thrown away for arbitrary reasons of style.

@ai-d3982 - yes its completely abnormal for humans to be fat, unfit, inflexible, and at 12 year old astounded how a 50 year old can have lots of energy. It may have become commonplace in your world - but its NOT NORMAL. I live in Bulgaria - people are not like this here, Ive travelled in 53 countries in the world - the UK and the USA are unbelievably FAT and ABNORMAL. Dont confuse commonplace in a geographical region and time with NORMAL.

@Peter-ud9bx - well Ive been studying the collapse of civilisations for a while for a book I am writing and you reach a point called "cascading systems failure" i.e. everything is broken and everything you need to fix it is also broken, and once you get to that point collapse happens very quickly. And the UKL seems to be very VERY close to that point. This is the list of contributing factors to societal collapse: Plague / disease Y Environmental change Y Massive wealth inequality Y Loss of the administrative class Y The government stops governing Y Attack from the outside - now includes cyber attack Y Loss of faith in the political system Y Economic collapse Y Exposed obvious corruption Y Crumbling infrastructure Y Mismanagement of a crisis Y Societal division Y Loss of belief in the unity of the society Y Restriction of international trade / loss of trade agreements Y Increased isolationism Y Rising internal violence Y Excessive spending on military / arms race N Inability to maintain the currency - hoarding / devaluation / hyper inflation N If a majority of things on the list happen to a civilisation simultaneously, it is invariably the end for that civilisation. If all happen at the same time, it's guaranteed to be the end. The USSR collapsed with 9 out of the 18.

@peterdoyle1591 - My cousin will water the exact legal length of time after inheriting and then sell it, this is 100% guaranteed. On one level I don't blame him - his father has worked himself half to death for 60 years and they do have an astonishing house - a massive 6 bedroom farm house. But the last time he went on holiday was with me in 2003..!!! My cousin is a bad example of farmers cos he is a terrible human being - I had a workshop on the farm at one point and he used to break into my workshop, steal my tools and sell them for beer money, one of his friends dobbed him into me over it. I found a "barn find" Mk 2 Escort with 1300 miles on it, bought it, brought it there - he found the keys, took it across the fields, rolled it and totalled it... the list goes on. Have you seen Clarksons Farm - Im hoping that Clarkson will be for farming what Rashford is for school dinners - farming NEEDS a champion. Food is not an industrial product for pennies - people need to budget more money for quality food and less for plastic crap from China. Small farms getting sold off and bought by the bitter ones will make food cheaper - and much worse. For every one of my terrible cousin, there are 1000 very hard working farmers scraping to make a living.

@highpath4776 - Funnily enough - I cant believe how the UK is maintaining the £ to the € - something fishy going on there...

@marygarrapa3537 WOW - thank you - you get a complement on YT comments very often - I think I will print it off and fame it LOL

@atomiccritter6492 - thats not the bit I'm saying is not normal. Its the fat, unfit, incapable of doing the work, 12 year old amazed that a 50 year old has more energy than them bit...
2
@crowlypa - Thanks for being polite about it - I'm incredibly dyslexic.

@olmostgudinaf8100 - Yeah thats what is technically called BOLLOX

@ai-d3982 - NO - My point is a health and fitness of the nation issue. Im not saying anyone should work in a field, I'm not saying we can feed everyone or any of that. Im saying the UK has a problem is the vast majority of its people are physically incapable of working in a field - should they want to. I an 51, I have long covid and its a bummer ill tell you that. But pre covid I could have worked in a field for 8 hours a day if needs be - would not have enjoyed it, would not volunteer to do it. But push come to solve I COULD have physically done it - I used to walk or run 5 miles a day with my dog, gym 6 days a week, yoga every morning, 30 inch waist. There is no point in my life where I would not have been able to work for 8 hours in a field picking crops if I needed to except when ill - as now. That's the problem - what are 20 year olds, 30 year olds going to be like at 50 if they cant work in a field cos of the physical constraints of their overweight, unfit bodies. The average Bulgarian does not want to work in a field - but they could. The average French person does not want to work in a field - but they could. The average British person does not want to work in a field - and they cant cos they are too fat and too unfit and that is a BIG PROBLEM... That is going to be a lot of dead people before they reach 55. That is going to be an NHS that can not even hope to cope with the diabetes and heart disease epidemic. THAT is my point...
