  2.  @BENTWOONEZERO  - Which is why they are a happier nation than the UK or Germany. The state of the economy in a country hardly counts for shit. It is pushed in the faces of its citizens by governments who are lining their pockets and the pockets of their business-owning donors as the BEE ALL AND END ALL of how you measure a country. The UK is a depressing miserable place full of unhappy people. I now live in Bulgaria - terrible economy - very happy people, but they are not dumb enough to let their politicians know that. When you have nothing in your life but the country is rich - you shout about the economy... The French don't do that, they work 35 hours a week over 3 or 4 days and they enjoy life and die happy. A good economy does not make people happy - it makes people rich and sadly there is almost no connection between money and happiness. But there is a very big connection between income inequality and misery - and the UK is very big on income inequality. France - not so much. Bulgaria - not at all, no middle class in Bulgaria. So go polish your precious economy. Ill stay here in piss poor Bulgaria with my happy neighbours.
