@clarecrawford9677 YEP - Im doing the English thing of thinking England is the UK. My bad. I live in Bulgaria now - they have clad the old commi blocks to update them and insulate them. In 5 years there have been 2 apartment fires near me - flames going 15m up the outside. The cladding is so completely unaffected they just paint over the soot marks. It does not even need replacing. These are the lowest cost homes inn the poorest country in the EU. They can manage it but not England...!!! [Actually the comi blocks are getting very popular now, bast parts of the city, well built, lots of green spaces and parks around them]

@TheNobbynoonar Actually - and Im being serious. Giorgia Meloni is governing like a pretty standard centrist, there is a significant chance that Starmer will be to the RIGHT of Giorgia Meloni on actual policies implemented. Meloni and Starmer are basically the same - they said what they needed to to get into power - now they are doing the bidding of the establishment. My gut feeling is that Starmer is MORE naturally authoritarian than Meloni.
