  2.  @derekmulready1523  - YEP - you don't even have to ADD sugar, although they usually do. The action of processing the food removes pretty much everything BUT the sugar, therefore concentrating the % sugar in the food

  3. PROCESSING FOOD is the process of extracting nutrients that fungus, mould and bacteria eat - this allows the "food" to last much longer and increase the profits of the industry. This is basically removing the FOOD from FOOD cos fungus, mould and bacteria eat the same thing that humans do! Processed "food" is quite literally what you get when you REMOVE the food from the product. This is why it is so incredibly bad for you. You are left with sugars - you note a bowl of sugar can last years without going mouldy but rice goes off in days!
