@farokudahitam - IM GUESSING YOU VOTED BREXIT How do I know this??? Because you can't do maths and don't know that prices CAN NOT DROP 150%. If prices drop 100% it's FREE.

Here in Bulgaria I just got a £12 rebate on my domestic electricity cos we are a net EXPORTER of electricity so despite the capped domestic energy price the companies are making a lot of export and they are required to subsidise the domestic supply. Its only £12 - but then again my bill was only £11.24.

@farokudahitam - SORRY - its impossible to tell these days cos many people truly are that dumb.

@genome616 - Not true. France is Europes biggest exporter of electricity. The net export countries tend to have mechanisms to balance domestic costs. Bulgaria is a net exporter I just got a rebate on my electric bill this month, larger than my electricity bill this month cos the electricity company made so much on exported electricity [to the UK LOL]. Not all countries are short-sighted and dumb - they regulate the electricity costs like a Hedge Fund. They make it that if the export or wholesale goes up massively in value that is used to offset domestic costs so the economy does not go into meltdown. This relied on not having a Tory smash and grab government.

@greenknitter - Ok i will try and summarise. Generally quite easy to move to. Housing is very cheap, dont discount the old communist apartment blocks - they are really great to live in but they are going up in price cos they are so much better built than the modern stuff. Summers very long hot and dry 300 days of sunshine. Winters mild not - they used to be severe but climate change. Food very very good locally grown and reared is normal. Cos of living is going up sadly - thats a general thing as the country is starting to prosper. Healthcare is getting good - brand new hospitals everywhere, big emphasis on preventative medicine. 4 times the beads per capita of the UK. Streets are clean, roads are new except in the countryside. Very very good sense of community still, people look after each other. Language VERY difficult - but all kids speak English now as its taught in schools and 30% of adults speak English. I do speak basic Bulgarian, enough for a simple conversation and its worth putting the effort in to learn this as a courtesy to the people. Hope this is helpful.

@greenknitter - Very good dry climate - very good for your health and even when its very cold like -8ºC you can put a sweater on and be warm. Not like the UK where the damp saps your will to live.
