EXACTLY - the right wing ideology NEEDS an enemy to exist, it is the ideology of FEAR and THE OTHER. If you don't have an enemy, you don't have supporters... If you are NOT being protected from the evil other who are coming to take your stuff - well you will vote for GOOD things to happen.

@fosterffoster5092 - YES - in 5 years when Belfast looks more like Dubai and Britain looks more like Dharavi, Mumbai even the dimmest Brexit fanatics are going to start asking questions. You ONLY vote for bad things if they come with the promise that you will be protected from the evil OTHER. That is the entire con. THAT is why Brexit was NEVER supposed to be a THING - only an ongoing open wound gravy train - it went wrong...
