It was a pathetic and woefully predictable line to guilt the listener into taking his side, and I cant respect anyone who pulls that cras and obvious trick.
Which was annoying because I really wanted to know what he had to say. Gabor Mate is one of my favourite people on earth, his work of drug addiction is astonishing and has helped my in my previous work with abuse victims greatly. I didnt know he had covered this subject - Ill go look for his podcast on it.
"I cannot agree this present tragedy poses no riskof a world war". I think this has a higher than 50% change of becoming a global conflict. My hope that it won't, is the fact that a Merica under Biden knows, it cannot win a war with Iran, Iran cannot win a war with America, but Afghanistan shows Iran, they don't have to win. They only have to wait and eventually, the American people will get sick of the expense of the war and pullout, which is a de facto win.
America is losing its position globally, it has $30 trillion of debt. It cannot afford to spend $10 or $20 trillion on a pointless war with Iran. It will literally be bankrupt.
