LABOUR SEEM TO BE doing absolutely everything they possibly can to get me to NOT vote for them after 51 years of being a staunch supporter... They no longer seem to stand for anything I believe in and the ONLY reason I will probably still vote for them is they are NOT the Tories - THATS IT. I almost hate what they are right now, I just HATE what the Tories are even more.

@kennytaylor3986 - I live in Bulgaria - I'm voting for the future of the children of the UK and the conditions for the poor people of the UK. Bulgaria is the poorest country in the EU but life here is WAY better for children and poor people than in the UK. Its seeing the contrast that having a society geared up to look after every one or just the rich that motivates me. Our cities have thousands of fruit trees in them - FREE FRUIT every year for the people. It is estimated that in my small city it amounts to €50 million of free fruit. That is just one example. Another - if you have a child under school age the council deliver fresh cooked hot food to your door 6 days a week for a heavily subsidised amount - its about £40 in UK terms. They teach kids to drive at school, cos that is a life skill you NEED - not a luxury that rich kids should have at 17 and poor kids at 25 like I did when I could finally afford lessons... Its a cash economy here with paper money - that makes a MASSIVE difference to poor people for budgeting and not overspending and getting hit with bank fees they cant afford.

@justmythought7658 They won't do that cos that is £50 million NOT going to supermarkets and Tory donors... We have apples, Plumbs - millions of plumbs, cherries, figs, pomegranates, a variety of little plum that bitter but makes chutney, pears - but weirdly not many.

@therealrobertbirchall - I live in one of those nightmare looking Soviet Era apartment blocks you see on TV. FIRSTLY, they are amazingly well built - 9 months of the year its passive heating and cooling, you never hear your neighbours even if they have kids playing loud music. But to my point.... I have NEVER felt more like I live in a village than I do here - and I left a village in the UK. Here, you have no idea who's the kids are cos everyone looks after them - no one pays for child care! The kids come home from school, the older kids bring the toddlers home and then the community looks after them until the parents get home... Children are SOCIETIES responsibility here - if you go to the gym you take your kids and people will just look after them; its just what you DO for kids here. I don't have kids but I have a dog so my job is socialising sky kids with dogs - that's MY contribution to society. I have not bought vegetables for 6 months cos my neighbours have brought them to my door from their allotments and village houses. Oh yeah - 65% of families here had a 2nd home in the country side for the weekends and food growing - cos of evil communism LOL 85% own their own home with no mortgage. My landlord is 21 years old - no kidding. Cos he inherited the apartment of his grandad, cos there is a literal housing surplus. My rent on a sea front apartment is £130 a month.

@therealrobertbirchall - Hello - Bulgaria is a lovely place. Try to visit the country and not the tourist resorts cos they are just tourist tat. Ive never been to Shetland but I have visited a few of the western isles Islay, Jura, Tiree. Of course, they are all quite warm due to the gulf stream. I have a deep desire to move to the west coast of Scotland, I keep mulling it over...

@therealrobertbirchall - My hobby is making historical clothing from 1900 to 1930 and the one thing I really REALLY want is a hand-knitted Shetland Isle Sweater MADE on the Shetland Isles. Sadly it would cost me about a MONTH's income so it is a fantasy at the moment LOL

@rollosinternet1853 - VERY sadly for me, where I am registered, the Tory got 71% in the last election. So in many ways it makes no difference. That said - its a poor area with a lot of farmland so its the farmers tat voted Tory and the idiots who hate immigrants - you never know... Not many farmers are happy with Bojo.

@Ghengiskhansmum - I dont agree. Labour are anti-democratic - but the Tories under Bojo are a proto-fascist dictatorship. It's another level up the ladder IMO.

As an author on the collapse of civilisations, I believe we need a socialist party that will break down the neoliberal system that is not working and actively collapsing. This is the list of contributing factors to societal collapse: Plague / disease Y Environmental change Y Massive wealth inequality Y Loss of the administrative class Y The government stops governing Y Attack from the outside - now includes cyber attack Y Loss of faith in the political system Y Economic collapse Y Exposed obvious corruption Y Crumbling infrastructure Y Mismanagement of a crisis Y Societal division Y Loss of belief in the unity of the society Y Restriction of international trade / loss of trade agreements Y Increased isolationism Y Rising internal violence Y Excessive spending on military / arms race N Inability to maintain the currency - hoarding / devaluation / hyper inflation N If a majority of things on the list happen to a civilisation simultaneously, it is invariably the end for that civilisation. If all happen at the same time, it's guaranteed to be the end. The USSR collapsed with 9 out of the 18. The UK scores 16/18. The USA scores 18/18 and the USA had had a near 50/50 split in power between the centre right and the centre left for the last 100 years. Lets have a look at the countries that are not collapsing - OH, they are way more socialist... Hmmm I wonder if centrist parties perpetuating the neoliberal status quo is a GOOD THING??? I don't think it is. I think that voting to Starmer is just prolonging the death of the UK as opposed to preventing the death of the UK. BUT - as the alternative is HASTENING the death of the UK - I will very very VERY reluctantly vote for Starmer. He is a bare faced liar, he is utterly useless as a leader, he is divisive, he stands for nothing - but at least he is not actively EVIL. That is the best we can say for Starmer "NOT ACTIVELY EVIL" And voting for starmer may give the UK the time to change course. Personally I think Labour will get annihilated at the next election, out best hope is starmer realises just how sh!t he is and goes for an anti tory alliance THEN we can get Proportional Representation, THEN we can actually start to save the UK from both the tory feudal capitalism and the centrist neoliberal capitalism... The chances of that all happening are tiny - that means the chances of the UK NOT collapsing entirely are TINY, the tipping point may have already been crossed. CASCADING SYSTEMS FAILURE may already be happening, and if it is, its game over - total social collapse - Yougoslavie 1992 with fewer guns.

@Hide_and_silk - I lived on a boat in France at Cap De Agde for 2 years :-D There were loads of homeless people living on abandoned boats - no one bothered us, they were lovely people. One of the happiest times of my life...

GEN-Z CAN ACTUALLY DICTATE THE NEXT ELECTION There are 6.5 million 16 to 24 Y/O in the UK They should start their OWN political party ONLY for Gen Z'ers. They're hyper-connected, super organised, environmentally motivated. THEY should set up GEN Z PATY Every member pledges to vote en masse for the party that the democratic G Z P decides. That means they can DELIVER say 2 or 4 million votes to any party and THAT decides who wins. THEN they demand PR in return. And then they are a REAL political force!
