THE UK USED TO PAY THE EU to hold the national gas reserve for us - since Brexit the UK no longer HAS a gas reserve to buffer the high and low prices... The lowest reserve in the EU is the Netherlands with 35.6 TIMES the reserve of the UK - Germany has 80 TIMES the reserve. Basically - NO ONE THOUGHT ABOUT THIS. This is why there is a problem in the UK - leaving the EU necessitated a change in the UK regulations that Gas suppliers hold 30 Days or 60 Days supply. ITS A F-UK UP

@Tybalt-si9wf - AH i did not know that - My info is from few years ago when I was visiting Seal Sands the UK's gas refinery area and they had a problem - they were flaring off the entire North Sea gas production cos they had nowhere to send it to storage whilst they fixed a problem. It was the most surreal thing I have ever seen - the sky was literally on fire, thousands of gas flairs all burning meant that the ones in the middle didn't have oxygen to burn so it rose up into the air before setting on fire the gas... The most apocalyptic thing I have ever seen - sadly before smart phones so I never got any pictures.
