They knew the exact date of the start of school, but they are SO INCOMPETENT that the affordable school uniform initiative will be late. And apparently, an average uniform costs £340 - which is INSANITY. You can get a wool business suit, cotton shirt, silk tie and leather shoes for less than that

@miriamllamas224 - This is an utterly ridiculous cost. I make historical clothing as a hobby. I will make a totally bespoke pair of men's trousers in heavy 100% wool for £200, I will make a matching bespoke waistcoat for £120 and a bespoke shirt for £90. I don't do jackets cos I don't have the skill. BUT - those are the going prices, I don't undercharge cos its a hobby cos I know I would be damaging people who make a living from it. Those are the standard rates for bespoke items by a seamstress. Its just crazy £350 for a school uniform.
