@Dionysos640 - I think you are correct that the EU will be pragmatic. But they will ALSO hobble the UK and make sure they can NOT cause trouble again like they did before. I don't know how they will do that - mostly likely by insisting the Euro € is adopted from day 1.

Was an international finance super-power, rapidly declining - will be a nobody by the time the negotiations start in 10 years time... These things have a cascading spiral of decline or ascent. You are either going UP or you are going DOWN and if you are at the top - there is nowhere to go so it looks static, but its not - you have to grow exponentially to remain at the top. Once you are descending, the descent is also exponential and that will become increasingly apparent over the next decade. The UK position at the top of that tree is already history. If you are not going UP - you are defacto going DOWN...

And MY predictions go in books that people buy, so it's kinda important for them to be correct and not destroy my reputation. So I'm the only one here with anything on the line to lose. So we will see as time goes by. EDIT: Oh BTW - did I forget to mention that the UK will collapse in the next 10 years??? @samhartford8388 - I will agree the EU is too weak. H and P should be ejected immediately. Switzerland and Norway are not IN the EU so that's irrelevant. The UK will be tied down, 100%, cos it will be an economic wasteland at the point it is allowed to rejoin. It will be crawling on its knees desperate for investment and aid, it will agree to anything.

The problem with "GREAT Britain" is a lot of people still think its great, the English have never lost this, never got over this. I wrote this the other week... BREXIT and the breakup of the United Kingdom. IM ENGLISH - England deserves to be alone, forsaken by the other parts of the union. Alone in its pathetic racist future in the 1950's or whenever it is they fantasise about, ruled over by posh toffs from Eaton in the way that makes them feel secure and that all is well with the world. Slaving 20 hours a day down the Bitcoin Mine if they are lucky and thanking the Indian mine owner for the privilege... England has NEVER gotten over the loss of the empire, it seeps through our veins, only lanced by emigration and not to an enclave of Little England in Spain. It is utterly tragic to observe from afar. The desperation to still feel part of something special is as obvious to outsiders as a fresh dog sh!t in your living room, and about as appealing... Its a desperation so strong they voted for Brexit - economic doom but the chance to feel like the big boy again for a few fleeting moments before they die. Like a drug addict committing suicide with a known overdose, unable to face the reality of the world they inhabit - but determined to go out on one last high… Copy of book for review

@howler6490 - I had a nightmare the other day that the UK had left the EU. This is not a joke. Woke up all panicked... Obviously its true - but having had it as a nightmare in a dream has actually given me a new perspective - that it is LITERALLY UNBELEAVBLE that the UK did something so astonishingly STUPID and self destructive.
