@johnrussell3961 Its NOT a universal benefit as of 2013 - maximum earnings of £60k "Families with more children should only get help if they need it.." DONT HAVE MORE CHILDREN IN OUR AGING POPULATION

WHY DID STARMER DO IT...??? cos he is an authoritarian leader who can NOT tolorate decent

@alantheinquirer7658 Everyone is dum8 in this scenario. But "I was suspended for trying to help starving kids in my constituency" is not a bad look... And Im an authoritarian leader who can NOT tolorate decent - IS a bad look and it has ensured I for one vote Green from now on.

I AGREE - IT IS THE DUM8EST ROW IMAGINABLE its only £2 billion to lift it, thats nothing, and digging in over it makes it harder for Starmer to lift it. Both sides are dum8 And - for what its worth my GREEN vote has been assured for the next election. I did my duty - but I dont like Starmer the kid staver authoritarian and he has blown it already as far as I am concerned.

@alantheinquirer7658 YES thats all it takes. Didnt like the man, did my duty - voted the tories out, first thing he does I dont like I reverted to my principles.

@SlowhandGreg As far as I am aware it brings nearly all those in DESTITUTION out of that state. If you have 4 kids on a low income and you only get the credit for 2. that pushed 4 kids INTO destitution, not 2. So that 250k is not 250k cos thats how many it applies to - but it affect at least 750k. That said - I agree it is dum8, on all sides its dum8. If you make it an issue it makes it harder for Starmer to lift it later, Starmer looks like the authoritarian we all worried he would be.

@SlowhandGreg HANG ON - stop jumping to completely different points I never raised. It costs £3 million to lift min 750k kids out of DESTITUTION it should be in the Labour manifesto. And Starmer did it cos he is an authoritarian leader who can NOT tolerate decent, which is the thing I most disliked about him and this confirms its in his nature and NOT just a necessity to win an election - so I will be voting Green next time.

@drummingtildeath NOT necessarily - Im a literal communist and I voted Labour to try and unseat David Davis. Its only that you SEE the idealism getting in the way of pragmatism only on the edges. If you are pathologically centrist on ideology - how are we ever going to see that...???

@drummingtildeath Why is it completely impractical. I live in an amazing ex comminist city that works better than any UK city and the vast majority of my neibours lived happy ives under communism... Im severely dyslexic

@drummingtildeath " If it was so good, why is it no longer communist? " Cos Am3ric4 bankrupt the USSR - DOH, I cant believe thats a serious question. Im not being coy - Its Burgas Bulgaria - look it up
