@zoedaisy1499 - I have a distant relative who voted Brexit cos he is on benefits [smashed back] and thought fewer immigrants would mean he would get more benefits, he knew it would damage the country but wanted more benefits. 1) how thick do you have to be to think the Tory Govt would give YOU more benefits 2) how selfish do you have to be that you were happy for everyone else to suffer for you to get a few more ££ a week NO - no sympathy for these people.

@zoedaisy1499 - He is not a benefit scrounger. He is in a wheelchair with a smashed back as I said in the OP!!! Are we spreading hate to paraplegics this Christmas Zoe??? He worked his entire life and then had an accident, he paid his taxes and NI and his benefit is his ENTITLEMENT. You are as selfish as he is.

@zoedaisy1499 - You are just falling into the trap the Tories WANT you to fall into. The public system is BROKEN so lets privatise it. THEY BROKE IT. The Tories BROKE it so that people would loose faith and want it privatised - that road leads tot he USA. do you want to pay £9,500 a year for your medical insurance - cos that is what it costs in the USA? THEN you have to pay the first £5000 of your medical bills every year. And you ahve to pay 30% of everything as well - so if you have a car crash and you break both legs - thats going to be £50,000. Your costs would be... £5,000 deductable £13,500 copay £9,500 insurance premium £28,000 total under your privatised system - those are REAL world figures, im not making these up, Im an author I have these statistics to hand. That salary of yours that is not going up - does it cover £28,000 for a couple of broken legs??? And you wont be working - but there will be no benefits, cos they are evil. So add at least 3 months loss of 100% of your salary to that. The USA used to have almost reasonable medical system with government payments and stuff, but the Republican party under Reagan demonised benefit claimants as "Welfare Queens" 30 years later 500,000 people year go personally bankrupt cos of medical bills... Most of the people living on the streets homeless are a result of medical bankruptcy. THIS is what the Tories want - you know where Rishi Sunak was when he had to come back from America last week??? Talking wiht US Medical Insurance companies....

@zoedaisy1499 - Its ok to hate someone in a wheelchair IF they are an a-hole, they are individuals. They can be good people or terrible people, this one is a selfish idiot. But he is NOT a benefit scrounger. And very VERY few people on benefits ARE benefit scroungers, that is a media trope to get you to hate benefit claimants. To give you some idea. 85% of people DECLINED benefits who take it to court to have a court rule on the case - not the company that the DHSS employ to make peoples lives a living hell - win their case. THAT is how hard it is to get benefits, and how many people are legitimately due benefits that are not getting them. You can hate this guy, he is a selfish Brexiteer. Screw him. But done hate him for being on benefits. You're falling into the trap they Brexiteers did with immigrants, blaming the wrong people for your problems. Merry Christmas.

Disabled people are just like the rest of us - they can be humanitarian PhD's or IQ80 racists and everything in between. This guy - even his brother does not RALLY like the guy. But then maybe we should not judge others when we have not travelled their path, he seems to have become very bitter and selfish after the accident. Maybe I would If I had to sit in a chair all day in pain... IDK, thinking the Tory government would increase your benefits is the bit that gets me - how delusional do you have to be???

@Neil070 - My sister was working for DEFA on a very good salary. In January one year she was hating her job, she pulled up to a field in Lincolnshire in the freezing sleeting rain, got out of her company car and trudged across the field to get some soil samples. She was cursing to herself that she hated life, she hater her job it was the worst job in the world, she was freezing and the ice rain was stinging her face. She got the samples and was about to walk back to her warm cozy car when she noticed a line of workers in the field - they are Polich immigrants picking sprouts... She talked to them for a few seconds, they had been there since 6.00am and it was not 3.00pm, they had another hour to go. She said she has NEVER complained about her job or any job since that day. I think everyone should have to pick sprouts for just ONE day in their life in a field in January... We would be a better society.

@Neil070 Smaller economy = less tax = benefit cuts. Its not a terribly difficult equation is it.
