LAST YEAR I DID YEAR 1 of a degree in Ancient Chinese Philosophy - I passed the program full credits - I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT ANCIENT CHINESE PHILOSOPHY...!!! Why? Because the entire program was about remembering the answers for the exam at the end of the week - NOTHING about understanding. I was genuinely shocked by the method of "teaching". When I was at school EVERYTHING had to be reasoned "from first principles" and working out had to be shown.

@k.jamescarters9557 - That is unbelievable, yet entirely believable now I have done the course on Chinese Philosophy. I was SO disappointed, I thought it was going to open up an entirely new way of thinking and seeing the world. All I really learned was a series of dates and people - who wrote what when and how they differed from each other; which I have subsequently forgotten cos it was not in any way interesting to me.

It was very much like learning the list of kings and queens of England and believing that to be the history of Britain.

BORIS JOHNSON is 100% mad enough to start an actual war with France - he is a malignant narcissist - there IS NO BOTTOM to the barrel of a narcissist... The only thing stopping them from doing unimaginable things is 1) lack of the need to do so 2) other people BoJo would start a real war with France in a SECOND to get re-elected.
