@Daniel Wood - You mean you are not enjoying it? There is always one party pooper who does not enjoy the cataclysmic economic collapse. Honestly, some people are never happy.

YOU CANT DENY its going well this Brexit thing, you guys must be kicking yourselves you didn't think of it decades ago.

I watched a really good investigation into WHO actually voted for Brexit. This idea the north east voted for it - RUBBISH, yes they voted in favour the ones who did vote. But hardly any of them voted. It was retired English people in the south east and south west and yes it was the retired English in Wales that voted for it not the Welsh.

@mixodorians12 - That English media was pretty insistent on blaming everyone EXCEPT the home counties, south east / south west who were the ones who actually voted for it in massive numbers. I wish I could remember the name of the documentary. Also - the single biggest indicator of voting Brexit was obesity. The fatter you are the more likely you are to vote for Brexit I think it was Chris Hedges the American war correspondent that did the lecture on all this. The other thing was - Grammar School education. If you were taught at a Grammar School you were almost certainly going to vote for Brexit.

@Daniel Wood - Its odd how they don't want those jobs though that have now been freed up by the immigrants they "went home" like they were told to do. You know, like picking turnips in -3ºC in January that kind of thing.

@Martin Baldwin-Edwards - I have nothing to add, that is a perfect summary... Combine nationalism with grievance and blame the immigrants. Its a fairly basic formula that has been used over and over and over again all over the world and always by the far right.

@jiversteve - yes I watch several lectures a day on YouTube. Im doing a degree in Ancient Chinese Philosophy at the moment, all of the lectures are on YouTube. YouTube is the single biggest repository of information on the planet and the second largest search engine. Is this strange to you or are you just not thinking this through???

@Martin Baldwin-Edwards - Yes it does not matter if 80% of the voters in the north east voted Brexit if only 10 people voted. It was a straight national majority won. When I said it was retired people in the south east I did not mean exclusively, I meant this was the largest single demographic. I don't like in the UK any longer, so this is all slightly academic to me. But I worry greatly about the authoritarian tendencies of this current government. This bill to make protesting effectively illegal is horrific and is not getting anything like the attention it deserves.

@johnrocks5678 - YEP - the UK committed the biggest act of self-sabotage in its history on the vote of less than 25% of its population... Those under the age of 18 - those who would be most affected by the outcome of the vote - they did not even get a say in it. But those over 65 - who would be basically totally unaffected by it - they got to vote. The UK is a representative democracy i.e. you pick people to make the tough complicated decisions for you, and this has a lot of merits - my sister is a nutritional scientist, probably has an IQ of 135 or so, she called me to ask what she should vote... Not everyone has the time to study politics, this is why democracy is always at the risk of being taken over by the foaming at the mouth nutteres who care disproportionately.

@Martin Baldwin-Edwards - to those that see it for what it is; it's depressingly obvious manipulation and you wonder how anyone could fall for it... But people have fallen for it for thousands of years. Blaming immigrants and pumping up nationalism somehow speaks to the desperate need a certain section of society has. We clearly do not have that need, they clearly do and it is exploited endlessly by the lowest form of humanity - the politician. In any sain world the desire to rule over the rest of society and be a politician would immediately be a disqualifying personality trait. But if we lived in a sane world Brexit would never have happened. So its a pointless debate.
