@garyb455 - Only no we would not. The world can live without landlords perfectly fine. To believe they have a value to society - I'm guessing you ARE a landlord. Cos it's a none job and a parasitic life. Here is an option and I came up with this in the time it took me to write this comment. Social Banks buy houses and allow people to live in them for the cost of the mortgage and for every month you live there and pay that mortgage you own 1/300th of the property. So you live in the house for 5 years you own 1/5th the house. The bank makes the mortgage money - any empty periods are just added onto the end of the mortgage period and when the Social Bank has received 300 payments the house is sold on the open market and everyone gets paid out their share of the property. YOU SEE HOW ASTONISHINGLY EASY IT IS TO DO AWAY WITH THE PARASITES ON SOCIETY THAT LANDLORDS ARE...??? If you are a landlord - you have NO VALUE you are a parasite on the face of society.

@brendanbarker6403 - the MP was worried about a massive sell off of London property collapsing the value of the London housing market and leaving landlords unable to cover their mortgage with their rental income. Cos collecting a direct debit and paying a mortgage by direct debit is hard physical work 12 to 14 hours a day...

@brendanbarker6403 - I TOTALLY agree - Donald Trump said Germany was stupid for relying on Russian gas. If DONALD TRUMP can see its idiotic if must be glaringly obvious... And the reason is GREED as you say - too many people making too much money, happy to delude themselves there is no problem and sadly its not an accident. its all part of Putins plan to hobble the west.
