I grew up in Batley and Dewsbury in the 80's went to a 40% Muslim school. They are just like any other people on earth. some are great people and your best friend, some a sh!ts and most are just normal.

@grizcuz - Ive travelled in 55 countries over 30 years - people are good bad and indifferent in the same ratios in every country. I got mugged where I now live in Bulgaria and suffered brain damage - lots of people said to me with shock "and you still LIVE THERE...???" yeah - Bulgaria didn't mug me, bad people mugged me, people get mugged in every city in every country. Ive also had two workmen miss a days pay to stay with me and call me an ambulance when I was unconscious and slipping into a diabetic coma - I never saw them again... I had a pile of cash and an iPhone handed in that I left on the roof of my car - it was 2 years' average salary...!!! And they handed it in and never even left their name for a reward. People are just people.

@BrianV-ie4mw 100% agree with you. I live in Bulgaria now, a comparatively poor country but its a very "flat" society. Very few wealthy people - the vast majority are the same "class". Everyone knows what its like to have no money at the end of the month, even if they are not in the situation their parents were. And the amount of community and solidarity is amazing. My neighbour borrowed £30 off me yesterday. I need her to pick a package up for me at the post office next week... You know - like it used to be in the UK in the 70's before Thatcher made us all jealous of each other

I watched a bit of it - Sunak and Starmer going at each other like two kids in a private school playground, I normally like it but today it was so juvenile I switched it off

Cant happen - the only reason to vote Labour is the Tories are literally pure evil, they have destroyed the country in ways that 99.5% of people have no idea about [you need to spend £1.5 Trillion on public buildings and replacing infrastructure in the next 10 years] and no matter how bad Labour will be they will be better then the tories cos this is a January 1991 USSR moment for the UK. Your choices are total and catastrophic collapse into 20 years of abject misery and privation OR 10 years of managed decline and worsening living standards under a government that is mostly trying to get the country back on track - whilst still doing everything the billionaires tell them. Your other option is revolution. The Tories are not "bad" the Tories are parasitic evil, they have hollowed out the UK like the Oligharchs hollowed out the Russian army.
