COGNITIVE DISSONANCE when you have defined your very personality as a "Brexiteer" - you can NOT just dump that and say "I WAS A SPECTACULAR MORON* You are not admitting Brexit is not a good idea - you are KILLING your own ego, your personality. @ingridschmid1709 - I dont think we necessarily disagree here. Giant corporate estates owned by Bojo and all his mates and gifted to their children and grandchildren. Although weirdly I think Bojo has a nostalgic view of farming, he is always talking about putting the hedgerows back in and returning the countryside to a patchwork of smaller fields - but he probably just means the view out of his window. He will probably have his farmers using 1930's Massy Ferguson tractors and steam threshing machines and round haystacks while over the hill cyborgs laser zap insects and poor people

@moon_knight8578 - there is the possibility - as insane as this sounds - that in the class riddled England voting Tory is seen as having "made it". You own your own home [although technically you own a massive debt and the bank own your house], you have newish car, you don't get a shower AFTER you finish work - you're not a MANUAL WORKER like your grandfather who voted Labour till his dying day - you have made it - you vote Tory cos your ONE OF THEM NOW...

@ai-d2121 - There is a very big difference between inheriting a farm and inheriting intelligence...!!! My cousin who is about to inherit a farm worth about £15 million is quite literally the dumbest person I have ever met. It is the same with fishing boats - just cos you inherited a boat does not mean you are bright - ergo Fishermen For Brexit. Farmers are NOT on the whole bright people and their world is split into two - people who own land and everyone else. You vote for Torie's cos they own land and they will look after you and your land.

IT IS DELIBERATE it is time for the feudalist capitalist system to eat the next level, which means small farmers - they need to go bankrupt so that Bojo and his mates can buy up the land. This is about providing generational wealth to the grandchildren of the rich. 1st level homeowners need to be repossessed and sold cheap and smaller farmers need to go bankrupt. There is NOTHING left in the working class, they are indebted for the next 20 years, that layer is empty. So they have to rob the next layer and PROPERTY takes precedence over votes.
