I live in Bulgaria - its AMAZING the number of tourists I hear talking sh!t about shop staff and waiters etc, not only can I understand them - there is a 50% the person they are talking shit about can... And if the person is under 22 they will DEFINITELY understand them as English became mandatory at schools about 8 years ago.

@rollingwave2732 - OH THANK YOU - yes we wil be totally fine - we use so little gas that 1 LNG tanker ship could supply the whole country for a year AND our government have done a deal wiht Turkey to supply gas to Ukraine through our pipes for winter cos we have more capacity than we need for our own use. We hcan capacity to transport 20b.m^3 we use 3b.m^3 So we are literally MORE than fine, we can actually help Ukriane wiht gas.

@BENTWOONEZERO - I cant speak for Varna, but here in Burgas the stray dogs are better looked after than poopr people in the UK and thats not a dig at the UK. They get fed by LOTS of people who literally buy sacks of food to feed them, they have secret kennels around the back of apartments and garages and stuff, honestly, they are really well looked after in Burgas.

@boredutopia - I cant argue with that. I speak English and am extremely bad Bulgarian, a bit or Russian cos its so close to Bulgarian and I used to speak French as I lived there for 3 years but Ive probably forgotten most of it. The issue is, NOT learning languages as a child it is UNBELIEVABLY difficult for me now and that is SO annoying. 14 years living in Bulgaria among Bulgarian people and my Bulgarian is at a 4 year olds level. The 5 year olds learn English at school...
