@ricmac954 - Global environment wise - it wont make much of a difference in my opinion. Cos I believe it is a land grab. Bankrupt UK farmers. Bojo and his mates buy up the land cheap and then surprise surprise they have to put a MASSIVE carbon tax on long-distance food transport for environmental reasons and CACHING - they make £ Billions £ I come from a farming family - all my uncles are farmers and farmers are selfish sh!ts. The reason there are no protests is the Tory voting arable farmers look down on the upland farmer's cos their land is not as valuable... THAT is their mentality. If you own 2,000 acres you are a BETTER person than your neighbour who owns 800 acres. Honestly, this is how farmers think. A farmer on here insulted me the other day saying "living in your tiny semi-detached house in the suburbs" and TO HIM, that was a real horrific insult to throw at me. I don't live in a semi in the UK I don't live in the UK but my accommodation does not define my worth ad a person - but to a farmer it does. Ive lived around them most of my life - generational inbreeding, a lot of them are weird AF and I mean proper weird.

@ricmac954 - My cousin is about to inherit a £15 million farm - he is literally the dumbest person I know. Inheriting a farm does not guarantee of inheriting intelligence, which is doubly true in this case cos his father is incredibly intelligent... God only knows what happened there.

I COME FROM A FARMING FAMILY and have lived in farming communities most of my life and I will tell you why they are not protesting... They are f-king selfish. This does not affect the arable farmers in the Tory heartlands very much, it mostly affects the upland farmers who the arable guys look down on cos the land is less valuable and they don't drive Range Rovers they drive Land Rovers. Farmers are unbelievable snobs.
