IM AN AUTHOR on the collapse of civilisations - I wrote this yesterday: The balance has been tipped; there is no money left in the working class, they are in debt up to their eyeballs so now it is time for the elites to start eating the middle class. The lower value houses are to go to repossession auction at a bargain price and be gifted to the grandchildren of the Etonians as rental income properties and the smaller farmers are to be bought at bankruptcy auction to enlarge the estates of the landowners and Tory donors. To do this you are hacking into your voter base, but it must be done to keep funnelling money and assets to the top. You can lie to the red wall - that will get you so far. But ultimately "democracy" has to go. You CAN NOT continue to win elections, no matter how twisted the system, when Tory voters are losing houses and farms. So "democracy" has to go - or the system can no longer FEED. And the ONLY purpose of the Tory party is to FEED the system. And the system has one purpose, funnel ever-increasing wealth to the top. Brexit is a vehicle to move assets from the middle class to the elites. They dont care if the economy crashes, they have more money than they can ever spend - they are insulated. A nice BIG CRASH that devalues property and bankrupts farms is GREAT...! They can snap them up. Cos the thing the elites of the UK know is money is meaningless when you have enough of it - CAPITAL ASSETS is what builds and maintains generational wealth. That is why the price of houses and land are so high right now, they are converting cash money into capital assets at a rate never seen in history. So they NEED a crash to bring the price down whilst they snap it all up... The collapse IS THE POINT, its snouts in the trough for the next grotesque gorging of British assets. So they HAVE to go the Tories. Not must go; HAVE TO GO or the UK will never be a democracy again in our lifetimes and the life of the working person will be that of a peasant.

@verttikoo2052 - Well I live in Bulgaria now. Officially the most corrupt country in the EU - it has nothing on the UK for corruption. We had riots last year over an MP's dodgy planning permission. Also - the UK has never really been a 2 party state; I think the Tories have been in power for all but 18 years of the last 200. But I mean even the pretence and balance of "democracy" will be gone. It will be a literal one-party state.

@verttikoo2052 - OMG the USA is about as far from democracy as you can get and still be holding elections. Bulgaria is new to democracy and it is suffering from lots of low level corruption. The people have been convinced that democracy and capitalism ARE THE SAME THING. Its quite easy to convince people of that when both arrive together and people never traditionally bothered with politics under communism. So many people say "my life is worse / no better under democracy" What they really mean is the economic model of capitalism has not, for the vast majority of people, lived up to the promises. There is a huge blurring of the lines and a lot of it is deliberate. "Your life is crap - vote for someone who will end democracy, its the voting that is the problem in this system" and a LOT of people believe that. So a hell of a lot of people are disengaged from democracy as they have not seen their lives improve post communism. They had an anti mafia anti corruption party in the form of a TV personality run for office - in 2 elections he did not get an over all majority and was unable to form a government wiht the smaller parties. Personally, I put this down to his massive ego. But it also shows he is incapable of governing. If you CANT agree a deal to get out the corrupt mafia backed party then you CANT GOVERN. So ironically his terrible failure will likely now lead to the GRM [mafia backed party] getting BACK into power for another 4 years and doing even more damage. It is a mess, but its not as bigger mess as the UK; not by a LONG way because the national government has much less power than in the UK - the regional and the mayors have immense power here. My city - Burgas - has a brilliant mayor and the city has been transformed in the last 10 years. this could NEVER happen in the UK just by a mayors efforts. Sorry for the long post.

PUT YOUR PROPOSAL UP FOR A PETITION If we get 100k signatures it will get discussed in the House Of Commons - you have 120k subs, we must be able to do it...!!! We can then press for it to be adopted as policy by the opposition parties...

@verttikoo2052 - Yeah - unfortunately the two things are essentially the same in the minds of most people here. In many ways I can not blame them. In their mind, and ytou have to remember that Bulgaria had it quite good under communism; unlike next door in Romania. They never used to bother with politics and their lives were stable and they had few worries; now they get to vote for obvious liars and year by year their lives get less stable and they have more worries - and to many, the 10 year old VW golf instead of a 10 year old Trabant IS NOT ENOUGH to offset the worry and the stress of the capitalist system. We dont know what its like to live without the stress of the capitalist system - they do...

@verttikoo2052 - YEP - Bulgaria went directly from communism to greed capitalism skipping the whole democracy part.

@martinhambleton5076 - yeah whatever.

@garyb455 - I didn't criticise democracy. And obviously I'm against Brexit, I'm not a moron.

@martinhambleton5076 - Screw you - Ill respond if I want. There are more people than you on this thread. As I said - its not a case of me wanting everyone to have nothing under communism. Its a question of REALITY. Capitalism will fail to address climate change cos capitalism IS NOT EQUIPPED to address climate change; so the earth will become increasingly uninhabitable and millions will die and some form of minimalist living socialism will be enforced on everyone in order to save the human race. I see you have a tractor? Are you a farmer by any chance??? British farmers are terrified of socialism cos they know the land they own was stolen from the people of Britain in the Parliamentary Enclosures Acts signed into law by the Tories, well first off the same Tories are going to bankrupt a lot of farmers to obtain the land cheap. But ultimately land will be taken into public ownership in order to fight climate extinction. SO YES - YOU and / or your children and grandchildren WILL HAVE LESS in the future. You will live a much more frugal basic life - cos there will be 10 billion people living on the resources of 1 earth that can only support 70% of current extraction. That means a 50% REDUCTION in consumption for the average westerner... I.E. YOU.

@martinhambleton5076 - And do you THINK capitalism has succeeded...??? ALL I have to say to that is COP26 / Climate Crisis - 100% due to capitalism. Capitalism had FAILED. It has failed 80% of the people and it has failed the human race. And why cant we DO anything about the climate crisis - CAPITALISM Do you know why people in China wore matching blue basic clothing? I mean I know the reason YOU THINK - you think its communist mind control tactics to remove people identity. But that is BS. Its because FASHION is the idea of throwing away something that is perfectly good cos its not "trendy" and fashion is the single most wasteful industry on the planet; as well as the most polluting. So under COMMUNISM, they did away with the waste and the pollution and people wore wode or indigo dyed cotton clothing. 20% of all pollution in the world comes from fast fashion. 11% of all CO2 in the atmosphere. THAT IS CAPITALISM FOR YOU. A planet-killing individual destroying system designed to endlessly funnel money to the very top; and do you know what? Its going to end; moght not be today or in 10 years - but before 2050 Capitalism will have ended OR the human race will have endeed. Because capitalism CAN NOT tackle the climate crisis; and the climate crisis WILL NOT STOP. So you better embrace your minimalist socialist future cos its coming like it or not.

@casteretpollux - I live a tiny minimalist existence here in Bulgaria. I put wool jumpers on instead of the heating. I use public transport - which is incredibly good and cheap here - instead of owning a car. I buy locally grown seasonal food, cos we still have that here. I buy second-hand clothes or I make my own; cos historical tailoring is my hobby - just making a 1900 "Golfing / Shooting Cloak" today :-D I never buy plastic crap from China that I dont need and since I started living like this i.e. like people USED TO, I have saved more money than ever in my life - and I'm a self-employed author on a very small salary. MY CO2 output is 1.8 Tons per year, well under the 3.0 t that is considered sustainable - and my life is NOT impoverished at all. Its a really good life, we dont need all the consumption - its just a HABBIT.

@casteretpollux YES. When I moved her to Bulgaria 12 years ago things from the communist times were literally pennies - no one wanted them. NOW communist-era items are really expensive and its NOT for collectables; people want them cos they WORK and they LAST and when they break they are easily repairable. I recently threw my 5th steam iron in the trash since I moved here - broken. they hast 2 years and 2 months. Just out of warranty and they stop working and they are moulded plastic and you can't repair them. I just bought a communist era one from 1977 - all communist made items have the year of manufacture stamped on them - and it works JUST FINE. And the great thing is it weighs 2.5 Kg which is GREAT for pressing thick wool seams... But I had to pay €45 for it. When I moved here it would have been €1. My plastic mop bucket was made in 1975 - Im NOT joking. And it will last another 50 years. And this is how we will have to live in the future; capitalism does not allow for that. So it will eventually have to go for a fixed size economy model of some description.
