I WROTE THIS A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO The Tory Party exists to govern - it’s their only reason for existing. The people in the conservative party are literally BORN to govern, their parents were MP’s and government ministers and they grandparents and they never had a choice of career - they WOULD BE, not just politicians, but the GOVERNORS of the UK They went to school where they were TAUGHT how to govern - that is what Eton is for - to teach the future leaders of the country how to govern. The Labour party are there to represent the people and bla bla bla NOT the tory party - their job is to govern and they genuinely feel if they are NOT governing they are letting the country down - they are FAILING IT in their view. And you can only govern if you are in power, so maintaining power at any cost is their primary objective. Any amount of lying, any amount of bribing the electorate to vote for them is acceptable Their greatest asset is 5 years is longer than the average person memory. They lied to you 5 years ago, but you've forgotten that, and after all, the media told you that the opposition wants to let transgender immigrants use your child bathroom at school, and your house price just went up didn't it...? Best stick with the guys with the posh accents.

@Tagedieb - Not as long as the Tores have anything to do with it. And the Tories have been in power all but 18 years out of the last 200 - i know that is UNBELIEVABLE, but its true. Only for 18 years was there not a Tory party or a Tory coalition in power.

@AuntyEsther - Everyone is taught algebra and calculus at school - just cos you are taught something does not mean you can do it. The textbooks at Eaton are LITERALLY on "how to govern". One of them is "How to give orders to [racial slur]" and I am not making that up.

JOHNSON WILL BE PM at the next election is my prediction - WHY? Cos he is a narcissist. There is ONE thing narcs are good at - securing their position. They have NO MORALS remember - he will be looking to sabotage every contender over the next 3 months. He does NOT care how much damage it does to the Tory party, as long as everyone is scandal-ridden or seen are too weak to take over; he will hope to win by restricting voting...

The current government got 42.3% of the vote, not even close to a majority, yet they have a majority so big they are effective dictators. The British people SAID "we dont want a Troy government" and they got a Tory dictatorship. There will be boundary changes next time that will give the Tories another 10 seats for free. they are introducing ID cards for voting that will disenfranchise a vast number of already marginalised people who dont have the time or resources to obtain a photo ID and well as young people who are not prone to long term planning - which is exactly the point. So NO the British electorate will NOT exercise their right to legitimise the chosen one by the party with their votes. A very VERY tiny number of people in a very few key seats will choose.
