I found my way onto a rabid pro Brexit channel yesterday - I commented exactly this "To the rest of the world - the UK is now unimportant, irrelevant and annoying" Shockingly I had several people agree with me. To me, this is a sign of how bad the situation is - even some rabid pro Brexit gammons are acknowledging the truth.

  2. *I GOT MY ORDER FROM THE UK TODAY..!!! I ordered a book on the 29th of April and I got it today here in Bulgaria and shock horror I DID NOT have to pay a duty or tax on it... I did however have to provide my passport and sign lots of forms at the post office to release it from their clutches, no longer simply arrives at your door. Why did I now buy from Germany..?? It was a book and I needed the English language version - wont be ordering anything else from the UK that I can get from Germany.

  4.  @mickeythompson9537  - They think they are important, they think their opinion matters - this is why they are drawn to Brexit "GLOBAL BRITAIN" it feeds their sense of importance. Which ironically, is a sense of inferiority they are compensating for. The double irony is Britain is how an irrelevant laughing stock begging for crappy trade deals around the world.

  5.  @G_C340  Well, I'm only a few pages in but funnily enough it has already touched upon how things in groups of three "3-word phrases" [just DO it!], the holy trinity, etc have a tendency to be oppressive, whereas thing in 4's "seasons", phases of one's life, etc tend to be natural and renewing.

  6.  @G_C340  - Its the 1997 book "The Fourth Turning" which 10 pages in I would already STRONGLY recommend - its about the cycles of history and the disintegration of civilisation every 80 or so years. It was SHOCKINGLY accurate in 1997 about what would happen in the USA 2005 onward... I wanted it in a paperback version so I could make notes on it and quote passages in a book I am writing on the collapse of civilisations. This is just easier with a physical book and I would lose loose-leaf...
