  10.  @BENTWOONEZERO  - Yeah only its not as I said 99% of houses use solar water heaters and 35% use solar storage heating for winter - this does not get counted in the % figure. per capita, electricity usage for a Bulgarian is 4600kwh. for the UK it is about 6,600kwh - that 44% difference is the locally used solar. As I said - our solar usage is utterly VAST. Add to that that we dont have any natural gas so 100% of heating is from either electricity or wood, most people use wood, they farm woodland here for heating wood - and wood is renewable you have to add the UK's gas into the mix and 100% of the UK gas supply is NOT renewable. So a better score would be to look at the CO2 "footprint" per capita - this is about 10 tons per UK resident and about 5.5 tones per Bulgarian. SO YEAH - we are vastly more sustainable than you. This is why its important to be able to analyse statistics and see what is really behind them... We produce 133% of our electricity needs - so we export 33% and that 33% comes from coal. You see you are looking at the "generation" figures. Our USAGE is 75% + renewables and nuclear and that brings our domestic CO2 production down - we sell the dirty energy to you guys. Because you IMPORT the energy it does not count in the UK figures either and this is how countries manipulate the CO2 figures and it SHOULD be stopped. Its the same wiht all the plastic crap you buy from China - YOU dump that CO2 generation onto China and then claim to be super green and blame China for their emissions - YOU BUY THE SH!T THEY MAKE, it should be YOUR CO2.
