I totally agree - YES it may be the cause of the X,Y and Z problem - so what? Just mention the problem and the fact Tories are not fixing it - THAT is enough of a vote winner. WAY too many people who voted Brexit KNOW it was a dumb idea - but they DO NOT WANT A POLITICIAN TELLING THEM THEY ARE THICK AS MINCE they need to come to this realisation on their own

So its hardly an analogous situation.
