QUESTION FROM BULGARIA we have has a massive jump in the price of food in the last month - is it the same in the UK...? We has a little bit of inflation for the last year then suddenly BAM ! 40% on lots of things.

@jonathanodude6660 - could be drought - hasn't rained properly since the beginning of April. Google says we have had a drought but nothing like the rest of Europe. Still - we are all very close and interconnected. Its the suddenness of it - Im properly worried.

@johnrussell3961 YEP - I earn my money in £GBP mostly - Liz Truss cost me 8% overnight and that has not fully recovered.

@hypsyzygy506 - That I know is international - my friend in America paid $10 for a dozen eggs on Tuesday - she is very wealthy but the price was high enough for her to comment and for her to double her donation to the food bank...

@thegrandmuftiofwakanda - Yeah thats why we have 4.5% GDP growth - but the EU is on earth and that is affected by climate change, war, oil prices. Being in the EU does not protect you from those things - but it does allow you to trade and therefore have a growing economy.

@dlevi67 - I looked it up today funnily enough. The UK averaged 1.65% growth 2010 to 2020 [varies depending on the source].
