YOU CAN NOT RUN A CAR PARTS COMPANY IN THE UK here is why - if an EU company buys parts from the Uk they DO NOT count towards the 55% threshold for "Made in the EU" That means they have to pay duty on the car as if it were made in say China. SO if you used to buy 10% of your parts from the UK you had +10% on your quota, now yo have -10% Most car companies are at about 60% EU parts... The EU gave their car companies time to transition - that comes to an end soon.

@hypsyzygy506 - Actually we DO have the lithium - Cornwall is full of the stuff QUOTE "Lithium Exploration Our work has identified a resource of over 100 million tonnes in a former clay quarry near St Austell – enough to support our projected annual production of 20,000 tonnes of lithium" That is just one quarry - and lithium ore is water soluable so all the old tin mines are full of lithium laden water. You can search for this article "What’s being done about the sh*t tonne of lithium in Cornwall?" There is a metric sh!t tonne of Lithium in Cornwall

@sciencefliestothemoon2305 - I think Lithium is found in association with tin, and I think its something to do with geothermal water being pushed up in fissures in the rocks. I did watch a documentary on it about 3 years ago. But I cant remember the full story.
