Poor "Bros" so soon after the NFT crash as well - when will "Bros" catch a break,...

In 2014 I was worth €6 million and I was not living paycheck to paycheck - but I was not far off. I grew up in an extremely poor family and had no personal financial literacy. My expenses kept up with my income until I literally could NOT spend more than I was earning in the hours available. Then in 2015 I suffered brain damage in a mugging - I had no personal insurance, cos I didn't know that was a thing. People talk about poor people making bad decisions - but they don't talk about the fact you need education to make good decisions AND you need to know there is a decision to be made in the first place. I dont actually miss being rich - its not like the movies - but it has shown me that even in the massively unlikely event you make it as a poor kid, your chances of keeping it are incredibly slim, you will either squander it or lose it in some other way.

Just subscribed after the first 15 seconds of your " Why We are Obsessed with Productivity" video. I have lived in Bulgaria for 15 years and have been effectively retired for 9. I am the only person in my apartment block who can not sit outside on a sunny day and do nothing but enjoy the weather. I am the only Westerner in my apartment block. I am SO conditioned to be busy and productive all the time - even after 15 years of living here and 3 years actively trying to fix this, I still cant.

YEP - Here in Bulgaria the average family has 2 kids on one salary, you get 2 years off work when you have a kid, hot food delivered to your door every morning heavily subsidised until school age, then free school dinners, society looks after the kids if you work - almost NO ONE uses child storage facilities. Basically FREE university. Many schools have dorms so your kid can stay over a couple of nights a week and give the parents a break. OH and obviously the medical care is free. And before anyone screams about high income taxes - its 10% flat rate income tax here.

BECAUSE IF PEOPLE UNDERSTOOD HOW MYCH A BILLION $ IS - THERE WOULD BE A REVOLUTION TOMORROW Elon Musk can buy a 1/2 million $$$ house for every single homeless person in America and still be a multi billionaire

THE FACT THAT AM3RIC4NS ARE MAXED OUT re consumption is actually the reason Elon Musk is shredding the government - the billionaires ahjve GIVEN UP on the US consumer There are 2.5 billion middle class in the world today and that will be 3.5 billion by 2030. They have worked out it is FAR more profitable to sell consumerism to the 3.38 billion consumers OUTSIDE the US than it is to try and sell more to the in debt maxed out Am3ric4ns. SO - they have abandoned you and DO NOT want to pay your social security or medicare andy more to keep you alive...

Can I, at this point, Introduce Luigi and his unique take on life the universe and CEO's...

IN 2014 I SUDDENLY FOUND MYSELF WORTH €6 million very shortly after Beltey started mailing me a VERY thick VERY glossy Bentely Lifesyle magazine ever 3 months - it must have cost them €20 a copy to produce. I have NO IDEA how they knew who I was or where to send it - I was an English guy living in Bulgaria - but they found me. And it worked, by June 2015 I was in the process of ordering a Bentely - but in July I suffered brain damage in a mugging and it was all over. BUT - they are AMAZING at getting newly wealthy people to part with their money.

This was my comment - it is directly relevant: THE FACT THAT AM3RIC4NS ARE MAXED OUT re consumption is actually the reason Elon Musk is shredding the government - the billionaires ahjve GIVEN UP on the US consumer There are 2.5 billion middle class in the world today and that will be 3.5 billion by 2030. They have worked out it is FAR more profitable to sell consumerism to the 3.38 billion consumers OUTSIDE the US than it is to try and sell more to the in debt maxed out Am3ric4ns. @hydraulichydra8363 "because it's still their own fault". maybe you should read my other comment.

@rudyardganuelas6254 100%. You are 1 accident or a couple of bad decision / errors away from being homeless. No one THINKS they have not covered all their bases - its the unknown unknowns and the simple errors. My friend in America found her health insurance company had been returning her monthly premiums for some admin reason. She sorted it out - but she was about 5 months without medical cover - IF she had a big issue she could have been bankrupted.

@PS-ic4bp - You're missing the point - they are pathologically obsessed with money. You don't GET to be a billionaire unless you are hyper-greedy. Why would you not retire at $50 million or $100 million? YOUR LIFE WILL BE NO DIFFERENT There is NO difference to your life at $100 million to $100 billion
1
Like BREXIT - it was mostly people who are no longer even alive who voted for it. Between the vote and it happening the winning margin had already unalived...!!! Therea re not something like 15 million young people over 18 who never even got a say in their own future but have to live in the world old ***** ruined for them,

And their tenure. is on average less than 5 years...

Cos billionaires needed to get more billionairie

@igvc1876 OMG you said that with total sincerity and meant it didn't you...??? "because if you don't progress, you will be competed out of existence". Come on - tell me how Google has improved over the last 10 years to complete, tell me the massive leaps that Apple and Facebook have made. Jeez dude. Try and THINK before you trot out a 50 year old out of date cliche.
1
Cos its more profitable to sell you a $100k pile of crap that you will have to scrap in 5 years
