  3.  @howardmctroy3303  - Lived here 14 years in Bulgaria where it gets to -25ºC with 1m of snow and I have not had a single unscheduled power outage Thats Bulgaria - the poorest country in the EU. We have scheduled ones for maintenance yes obviously. Our power lines are mostly under ground you see... We had a tornado about 3 months ago - took the rooves of the shops but the power never went out.
