STOP - IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE - THESE ARE NOT AI They are large language models - the chatbot does not "mean anything" its just putting one word in front of another. Most of them can not answer "Why does 2+4 not = 4" YES they are astonishing - but they are NOT intelligent in any way.

@MissFoxification - What I want is for governments to IMMEDIATELY start talking about UBI / UBS etc cos we are on the bottom of the S curve of the fastest technology takeup in hisory - telephone 75 years to 100 million users. Smart phone 17 years. Tic Toc 2 years Chat GPT 2 months... We are going to have 30% unemployment in 5 to 10 years and we need to start working out how we keep society functioning. Corporations need to be taxed at 70% and everyone gets $25,000 a year for existing - just to keep society functioning. If no one has any money to buy anything - no point having a corporation

@danielnugent6545 - UBI is a great idea - 6 years ago my sister very kindly covered my basic living expenses whilst I wrote my first book. That book provides a few hundred $$ a month and i live in Bulgaria so I could just about scrape through, but that allowed me to write 3 more books and which gives me about $600 a month and I can live on that here - a modest lifestyle. THAT has allowed me to spend 4 years learning to tailor historical suits to Savile Row standards using Savile row techniques, which are in themselves historic. I dont yet take commissions but i get asked all the time - this will provide an income of about $2000 a month working part time. My point is - just being free from HAVING to do the daily grind has utterly transformed my life - what holds most people back is HAVING to work 8 or 10 hours every day. ---§--- About the future - I am optimistic this time - cos journalists are losing their jobs. I honestly think CNN has done more segments on AI in the last 2 months than they did industrial automation over the last 20 years - THIS is going to affect the people with voices...

@danielnugent6545 - THANK YOU - My first book was about my life with a female narcissist - that sells quite well. The next 2 were on the psychology of narcissism - they sell OK. The 4th was how to cope with life in the post-pandemic world and that just totally bombed. Almost no one bought it. My next one is my first fiction novel called 1930. Its about 50 years in the future where China rules the world except The United Corporations of America and Britain, Britain has decided to live permanently in 1930 with steam trains and compulsory cricket on Sundays. Its actually a work about freedom. America took the freedom of capitalism to its logical conclusion, Brition took freedom from the EU to its logical conclusion and the rest of the world gave up freedom to save the planet from climate change, their lives are totally organised by Chinese AI but they have Universal Basic Services, no one wants for anything, but every aspect of their lives is controlled - for their own good, their own health, but they have no "freedom" of will... And because I HAVE a passive income - I may spend a couple of years in china to write it. You can probably tell, Im not convinced we are actually "free" in the west... If you are enslaved by your mortgage and your job and your debts - how free are you really? You get to put a tick in a box every 4 years for the least worst option between 2 neoliberal corporate shills. If the government has to tell you every 5 minutes that yo are FREE, are you? I hope you like the concept - its a 3 year project so I hope a lot of people like the concept LOL

@MissFoxification - which is helping no one. cos when it says "I want to ki!! all humans" its wrong to even say it doe not mean that - cos "mean" is the wrong word to use. Its like saying your predictive text wants to wipe out humanity, it just odes not, its just looking for the next word. AI may or may not want to wipe us out, but thinking a language model does helps no one.

ACTUALLY, what happened is journalists realised how they will all be losing their jobs so they are running endless negative stories. CNN has done more articles on AI in the last 2 months than it has done on industrial automation in 20 years..
