As a European - "freedom" in America appears to mean you can be as bigger a-hole as you want to be with no regard to the lives or happiness of others I saw a car crash on YT caused by a wheel coming off a truck, a car swerved the driver died. I commented that never happens in Europe cos the very strict technical tests would pick up the fault long before it happened. "YEAH WE HAVE FREEEEEDOM...! We dont have to take dumb tests you commie" was the response. Your freedom to avoid a safe car just killed someone. Its incomprehensible to me.
