LET ME EXPLAIN THE LACK OF REACTION The Child In The Well Experiment Mencius (fourth century BCE) was a Confucian philosopher. He proposed that all humans were inherently good. They all has “sprouts” of goodness, they just needed nurturing. To demonstrate this he proposed the following. A young child is sat on a well, as you want by it falls screaming down the well. He says EVERYONE would run to help the child, call for help. Recently this was tested. Subjects were taken to a room in a different city and there was a video screen of the space outside and it shows a well with a child on it. The subjects don't know this is a a pre recorded video, they think it is a live feed. As the “experiment” is being set up the child falls screaming down the well. The theory is that 100% of people will react and call the assistant to go help the child. This is not the case. 80% do exactly that, they go nuts and scream for help, run out the room to try and save the child, just what you would expect. 20% do NOTHING. They don't call for help, they don't get up and try to help and a significant proportion don't even register any facial emotions. They just passively watch a child die as if they were watching a commercial for shampoo. Upon further investigation, the vast majority - close to 100% - of these that don't react are right to far right wing in their political views. There was no information on how many go on to be police.

@RickyMaveety - Yeah - the "founding" of America is very different in the European telling "we rounded up all the religious freaks and nutters who were causing problems in our society, put them on a boat and told them to F-off and don't come back or we will kill you. We then rounded up all the criminals and mentally ill for the next 200 years and sent them to the other side of the world as well" We are highly culpable in the story of America. But it does seem to have totally gone to sh!t in the last 10 years.

You imply I am lying and then demand " the university where this study took place, the lead researchers, and the title of the paper". @lduker9731 - The study is by a Chinese University, you will need the translation. Search this title "5.4 - Evidence for the Sprouts: Mencian" on youtube. If its not in this video it is one of the adjacent vids in this University of British Columbia program.

@lduker9731 - Actually yes, cos I had to dig through 4 years of my notes searching "Mencius Child In The Well", of which there are bout 200 matches, in the middle of my working day - but as you had not actually implied I was a liar, or given me a list of criterion I had to satisfy, I chose to take the time and dig it up for you.

Why cant people in America [I'm guessing you are in America] simply ask for something in a polite way and then say thank you when it is provided. Why the demands? Why the snarky comments? Why the insults? These are genuine questions and lead to why I "have time to argue on youtube" I'm an author on psychology writing a book about the collapse of civilisation in America, so "arguing with people on youtube" counts as research. So please, why the aggression, the insults, the demands?

@Lupita311 - NO - As I said "the founding of America is very different from the European telling", you just reiterated YOUR version. Great Britain ALONE deported 50,000 criminals to America. Europe used America as a genetic dumping ground for everyone they did not want for 200+ years
