  2.  @solomongrundy6584  - Actually a recent survey here - 45% of people want to go back to communism. I have not got time to detail this, but suffice it to say we were totally lied to in the west about communism. It was NOTHING like it was made out to be. It was both way worse and way better. Mostly it was nothing like it was explained to us. Having lived here for 12 years, I can see why people would want to go back to it. Everything in society was engineered for the ordinary people. Thats a concept that does not exist in the west. There are 8 schools within 15 minute walking distance of my apartment - that makes a big difference to peoples live, things like that. The horrible things were not the living conditions, they were actually very good. It was the lack of freedom.

  3.  @solomongrundy6584  - Well as I said - I've only lived here 12 years so I was not controlled by Moscow. But do you like being controlled by Washington? Or whatever your capital city is? Cos that's kind of a dumb comment isn't it. Its not about which city controls you - its about your personal living conditions and happiness. And actually, this is another lie we were told in the west. they were not controlled by Moscow, they had a hell of a lot of autonomy. Which meant that communism was NOT one thing. Here in Bulgaria, it seems to have been pretty damn good. Across the border in Romania, they had Chauchescu the dictator. Life there was utterly horrific, it was like a prisoner of war camp. Hungary, apparently life was very good.
