" GDP does not tell the whole story" DEFINITELY TRUE - My fellow British people live under this fantasy that they live in the 5th largest economy on earth. £1 Trillion of that GDP is "fake" GDP from the city of London. Selling £1 of shares in company A and buying £1 of shares in company B counts as £2 of GDP. In reality its ZERO £0 of GDP. Its meaningless and contributed nothing to the economy.
