  4. Actually the whole chassis of my Lotus Elise was glued together - and it was one of the stiffest car chassis ever made, that's why they handle so well. But as you say - it was designed and built by competent people. ironically the plastic cover over the washer fluid cap was screwed on with 3 x 40mm M4 bolts LOL

But I fail to see why Elon gets all the credit when the projects are always decades behind and over budget - you know, the bit HE is responsible for

In the UK in the 80's there was a brilliant comedy called "Yes Minister" - it was about a "Department Of Government Efficiency". the whole premise of the show was how ridiculous it was to have thousands of extra people trying to penny pinch other departments and how every time you want to implement a policy to make things more efficient - you have to hire thousands of people to implement it - which is why government "efficient" is NEVER improved. You just cut services and call it efficiency.

  25. The thing is. Basically, anyone can make a 2 second 0-60 electric car now. You can literally buy the components off the shelf. There is no longer any POINT in making it cos 0-60 in anything under 3 seconds is extremely unpleasant and the average human can not control a car that does it in less than about 4.5. It has become a completely redundant performance statistic for cars. It used to take a 5L V8 32 valve 4 cam 450Bhp engine to get my CL55 AMG to 60 in 4.5 seconds - now it takes 2 low-powered 225hp in hub axial flux motors and a battery.

You are pulling on nothing and you have to keep pulling on nothing because the tiniest tiniest leak is a lot of air molecules. Your pump might be moving 1 molecule per revolution cos you are getting closer and closer to nothing. I mean they might have only recused it to say -10psi. But a 1" hone sone guy drills in the pipe with a cordless Makita is going to make that impossible

They look different and the build quality looks old Mercedes level Looking on the internet I think one might be Aiways U6. Another might be the Xpeng P7. In the flesh, they are NOT what you expect when you think of a Chinese car

  44.  @Blodhelm Well im not quite as reactionary as you LOL. But they would mess it up. Ive not watched it since it was on TV when I was a kid - its REALLY good, I dont mean nostalgic good. I mean the stories are genuinely great - by the end of S3 it gets worse. They are all criminals and they don't trust or like each other, which makes it so much more interesting than the Am3ric4n sci fi where everyone is nice and cooperative. This lot are constantly stiffing each other LOL Its definitely worth watching.
